Well I have some good news and bad news.

Good news...I thought this was pretty cool:

Bad news...someone in my apartment parking lot must have hit my car last night. Scratched my tail light and it has a crack...

I'm fucking pissed. I may put on my red tails this weekend.

And just a random picture, my girlfriend and I met with her brother and his GF. He parked next to me like an asshole and I thought it was funny.

I can't lie, I've been looking at Jeeps. While I would never want one as a DD, it's nice to hit curbs and not have to worry about damaging wheels.

The bumper has scratches too but I should be able to get them out. I'm more angry about the tail light at this time.

Oh noez!

But to what A said. Doesn't look like anything wetsanding and polish won't fix. If you don't DD it, why not get a car cover?

You seriously thinking about selling the TL? And I thought your GF's brother had a Jetta?

Not caring about cars is really nice, though. I've been driving a Corolla as a rental and it is surprisingly sporty.

First time my car got hit, I got paranoid as hell. Then it got hit a second time and I just stopped giving a crap.

I looked into a car cover but the one I wanted was way too expensive.

He got a hefty speeding ticket in the Jetta so he sold it and got the Jeep that tops out at 83 mph

And no, I'm not going to sell the TL.

His lawyer is still working on it but he got the ticket in a county where they rarely lessen tickets for younger drivers.

He drove like a mad man in the Jetta and hated having to worry about curbs and such. The Jeep is awesome.

Ty, that'll come out on the tail light. Just wet sand it and polish it. Too bad you don't know who did it. I'd give you some good info on paybacks lol. As for the car cover just be careful with that. Sometimes they do more harm then good especially when it's windy out.

^yeah i don't have access to a garage anymore, so car cover was my next choice since i only drive it on the weekends now.

they get the job done and are easy to take off and put on. takes a minute tops.

Some people are stupid as fk. How the hell do you hit a parked car?
Well like the others said good thing they did'nt do more damage and
like take the whole bumper off or even mess up the ATLP.

My last tank I got 382 @ 46mph and 26.5mpg. 14.4 gals. to fill it up. I know I could easily stretch it to 420+ but I don't want to get too far into the reserve and end up sucking up crud. I usually fill up when the MID says 30 miles or less left. If it wasn't for the city driving mixed in I'd easily get 29-30mpg @ 70mph. My Scangauge usually reads 34-35mpg on the Hwy at cruising speed.

I sometimes wish my CL had those fancy-shmancy MIDs with average MPH and all that.

Anyway, Ive never gotten below 23mpg. My average mpg throughout my ownership is 26.7mpg. The highest - 32mpg. My last tank was 29mpg.

I havent put anything in Fuelly or the mileage tracker here in a very long time, but I keep all the receipts with the mileage written on it (seriously, all of them. Im missing three but I have the numbers written down on post-it notes ). Theyre in envelopes, divided into each month. If I ever get really bored I may catch up on it.

https://acurazine.com/forums/garage....s&vehicleid=96

Thats back when I still had a 3.2l, but my mileage has gone up since the build. And I was wrong, my worst tank was 21mpg while I was in NY.

i have every drop of fuel's detail which has gone in my car....the little booklet that i lost had it from 62K miles to 77K miles....and i lost it.....so i put everything in a spreadsheet with formulas that not only calculate mileage and miles but also how much i drive every year and the yearly mileage and miles on the first and last day of the year and yada yada yada....
