Thank you sir! I had a 79.5 in the class before the test, which is border B/C. I'm hoping I did well enough so the teacher rounded me up

Are the coils a "school's over-let's get back to modding" gift for yourself?

Btw... that's just me being mad at you for snagging these from a local seller who "didn't want to ship." Hurry up and install these and post some pics!

Coils will be sweet! You are finally one of the people who got springs first and switched to coils anyway! Just took you longer than my 6 weeks or whatever it was...

Thanks MEKO!

I've been on the S-Techs for over 3 years, it's time for a change.
And yep, in the Black Market! I don't buy anything brand new except for tires![rofl](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
Thanks Ross! As J said, they will be going on next Saturday!
Never.

So are Scions.
Fugg no. I haz the RacingBrake open slot rotors that are way sexier
Plus those rotors are for Brembos and my dookie ass base doesn't have them.
I PMd the seller saying that I wanted his coils. He said it was local only but he would let me know after a week or two if they were still available.
Aaron and Austin told me to ask Jeremy if he would pick them up from the seller once we found out he's local. We soon found out that J knew the seller personally so he picked them up from him and shipped them to me! He added extra packing peanuts and foam and such to prevent any damage while in transit.
Jeremy, I can't thank you enough. Well, maybe I could, but we'll discuss that via PM![Mizouse](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/quagmire.gif)
Once the box arrived I snapped these pictures and put everything away until it's time to install![Cry](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/cry.gif)

I'll be cleaning them up a bit as well as applying some anti-seize on Friday. I'll also be removing the rear seat on Friday so the install on Saturday doesn't take so long.

Also, I highly recommend anti seize. Back when I broke axle #4 (or 5, I forget) the bolt holding the strut fork to the LCA was seized. Heat wouldnt break it loose, nor would a 900lb-ft impact. Ended up having to drive ~400ish miles back to VA and cutting the strut fork off and replace both the strut fork and the lca. Luckily the parts were on hand. Still sucked though and it was an expensive and stressful weekend.

Well, down here, no rust or ice or salt...
BUT, what they're talking about is anti seize on the threading for the locking rings for the spring perch. I personally had megans on my rsx and the rear one, that I hadn't adjusted in probably 2 years...was so seized that I ended up having to put a relief cut into the bottom portion and remove from car and put all my weight on it to get it to move. NOW, that said, i was never good about cleaning out the threads...but I guess it would make sense to put anti seize on the part of the threading that will be going into the lower portion since that'll be protected from the elements. Otherwise, I'd be very worried about rocks, sand and grit getting stuck in the anti seize and then getting ground down and making the lockring freeze up. I'm sure John and Aaron know what they're talking about.

you're helping too, Dan?
Ha! no tophat swapping, this install will be done in about an hour.
I'd suggest removing spacers...throw a little anti seize on the center bore on those too...after a few winters they'll be tight to get off. Have a pry bar and rubber mallet handy to get em off...set your height, then see what you're working with space wise...may need to move the front spacer out back then order a smaller one up front...good thing with spacers is that hey always sell immediately.

Well, see where you're at once you do install the coils, I guess I was more concerned with immediate rubbing and having to deal with it after, but I guess it could work, camber will take it's natural course.
Clean and brush off all the the threads, they are set the way Eric had them and his stance was on point...pretty low too. Start there. Read up on how to properly adjust without touching preload too...I didn't know how when I had gotten my megans on the rsx.
...and $540 shipped? WTF? But Eric ended up dropping the price to $200 cash since I was a friend. WTF happened to the extra cash?

Tyler...those struts looks awesome.....eager to see them on the car....
on the threaded body, do apply some lithium grease so when you go to raise the height (around winter) they wont be seized on ya....

I need some opinions. I have two options:
1) Leave everything as-is and adjust camber to deal with rubbing.
-or-
2) Remove spacers and slam the fugg out of it, not having to worry about rubbing, keeping camber in-spec.
