CLEAN IVA-W200 Install
#41
I'm actually considering doing a similar set up like this, but with the addition of 2 tv's in the headrest. My concern though before I made my move, is does it mess up the blue tooth at all? Does your controls still work on your steering wheel that control the volume and the changing of controls like going from cd, to am/fm, xm, etc.?

stheman - Yes, HVAC controls still show up on the factory hear unit. its actually separate from the radio.
JAZZ_123 - Shift Knob was found on Ebay. Yes, it CF.
HIS_TL - Steering wheel controls were lost, although the headunit is capable of bluetooth. I was told there is a unit that can be installed to retain steering controls, but its reliability was suspect. I was not too concerned about losting those controls. I realized I never used them anyway. My hand was ALWAYS on the radio. Guess it come from "pimpin" .... just kiddin.

Thanks Vinny, I was also wondering if it was all one unit or could the radio and HVAC controls be separated so I could relocate the HVAC Controls for my install or at least get rid of the factory radio.

Yes, the upper display still shows AC / Heating temp etc.
The dash kit was made at "Safe and sound" in manassas VA on sudley road.
I believe they are TWO separate units. There is one install on here where the entire display was moved to the lower tray area.

Steering wheel controls were lost. There is some adapter that the installer said would allow you to keep your steering wheel controls. I was not too worried about it though.
I dont think you can order the dash kit, it was manufactured as part of my install, but I guess they can do anything for a price.
Give them a call "safe and sound" manassas, va.
