Check my 19's................
So after six weeks of waiting I picked up my 6MT Anth/Quartz on fri night. Wheels and tint were put on at 8am on saturday. The wheels are Maya DTM 19x8.5 +36 w/ yoko avs sport 245/35/19. I have been planning to get these wheels for over a year now. I just had to wait till I got my 05. I had the ASPEC put on right when my car came off the truck.....I love the suspension...its PERFECT. Just enought drop and very very very little compromise in ride. I havent seen these rims on an 04/05 yet. Yes, they are the ones shown on the CL Concept a couple years back. The lighting wasnt the best because of the clouds, sorry bout that. so what ya think......

I hope you blocked traffic when you took those pics...
I would hate to see your new beauty get creamed for a couple shots...
Looks good though...

The tint is Llumar Centaur I think...and its one shade below limo. I got the wheels and tires + alignment for 4100 out the door. I really like the spoki-ness of the wheels so the brembos are easily visible. thanks for the compliments!

Those wheels look oddly small for 19s. Either way, very nice and enjoy your TL.

well......this really really sucks but I curbed a rim today and they are only 4 days old!! Its not bad at all...only about 1 inch long. Does anyone know any wheel shops in orange county that can repair it?? OR do you know any good techniques to buff it out?? I have a dremel and I was going to try and smooth and polish it out. oh well..... here is a photoshop that I did in about 5 minutes......enjoy.

Al Reed in Anaheim is the master at fixing stuff like that.
714-632-3907, don't be scared by his shop, he has Fuchs come in from around the world.
These are the wheels he did for me.

Tint?
I'm trying to figure out which tint to get...
Do you have llumar Centaur film? I was going to get the same but 18% on the back and 28% on the sides... Do you have a Navigation Unit in your car and if so, did the metal in the tint mess with it or your AM radio reception?
Sincerely,
Jeremy

Carbon Tint
Doc... I have an 05 6MT/ABP/NonNAVI and had it tinted 2 weeks ago. I found out that normal tints have metal in them (as you mentioned) which would interfere with the NAVI and XM. I have XM so they recommended the carbon tint 35%. Can't remember the brand but it I think it looks nice.
Hope this helps...

the only thing i dont like about those TL rims is that, looking at them from a angle it looks like the spokes are twisted.
i really like that satin silver with chrome lip.
