I just realized something..
My sister's Acura CSX appears to have a City Light as well [or DRL in this case]...
I wonder if it uses the same bulb-type as the CDM TL headlight.
I'll go ask the Acura folks tomorrow =]

Just in case some of you do not know..
The Acura CSX is the JDM-Canadian Honda Civic [4 door]. We also have a "CSX-S"

I'll snap some pics tonight. I'm still waiting on the damn ballasts arrive, but I took the car out for a cruise last night with the headlights w/HID's installed for a car meet we had here locally. I had put the car back together temporarily with the 05 ballasts rigged in there . I love it.

All I can say is TIGHTNESS!

Were the lenses a direct swap for you? In my last retro I had the original ZKW lenses in my TL projectors and it took some lens spacing and shield bending to get the crisp cut off and color.

^ For me yes, but the originals would still need a spacer fabbed up.

pics

Here are some pics I snapped tonight. 85144+ 4250k low beams. I need to adjust the headlights. You'll see that the left headlight is ALOT lower than the right IMO.

Also, for some reason the camera picks up the DRL's as being pink in color. They are actually pure white. Weird!

The last pic is of my lower 55w 6000k HID fogs on as well as my integrated 55w integrated fogs on. Those definitely need some adjusting too! Way too high, and are interfering with the cutoff.

Will hit you guys up with some better pics when all is done and perfect.

have a good one

Nice! I thought you might be the type to leave the tail end of that diffuser naked. I was always curious as to what it would look like with just the orange removed and everything else left untouched. Might have to have some adjustments made to mine. That cutoff is crisp and colorful. I can't wait to get mine back and installed!

I finished mine up last night. I hate removing that bumper w/aspec kit more than once a year and Ive done it 3 times in the past 2 weeks!

Best of luck on a successful mod man!

1157 plugs are 33302-SR3-A01 about 10 bucks +/-
2003 TL projector covers 33127-S3M-A01 (I had to sand off this tiny tab on the edge of the cover. These are like 20 bucks +/-

I already have an 206 so didn't need the ballast.

Also, since the high beam socket plug is on the OTHER side of the projector you'll have to unwrap some of the electrical tape from the wiring harness to give yourself more slack.

Hey so the only modification to the two holes (194/168 hole and 1157 hole) is to sand them down to make the opening wider?

gerzand, can you post the questions with their answers? Would be helpful to those interested in doing this (myself) and would save you some additional effort in the future. thanks!

The JDMland sockets CAN fit without sanding, you've just got to be a little rough with them. However, with a small bit of sanding, they will come in and out easier. The other modification that is as your discretion is to obtain a 1157 socket from Acura and hard wire it into the harness (the clip where it detaches is different than the 7443 harness, so they aren't cross compatible) and BTW you MUST sand this hole if using 1157 sockets...... or...... use some black silicone to secure the 7443 socket in place. The silicone method is definitely less work and just as effective.... plus ur not hacking up wiring.

so if you have a 2006 tl, you still need to buy the sockets for the signal bulbs?

Well if you want a complete inside and out OEM finish to the bulb sockets (something youll never see), yes. But you can use your old 7443 sockets with a bit of silicone and seal them in. Thing is, they are still detachable from the vehicles headlight harness, but not by unscrewing them! Instead, you unclip the socket. So if you ever need to completely remove the headlight, just unclip that socket....Boom, done!

99.9% of people will want to do this silicone method. its ALOT less work, and I see little to no benefit of purchasing and wiring up new sockets.
