Wooooh, nice !!! Jptl04 needs to see this carbon fiber hood. It would go great with his modded out carbon fiber engine compartment.

Yea, install was a bitch, glad i didnt attempt it myself. The latches will go a lot better if i can get a CF vinyl over them, they seem a little out of place right now, but safety first lol.

instead of the fake CF vinyl you should get some of this stuff. http://www.protechcomposite.com/serv...t-panel/Detail its what i used under my hood and on around my window buttons inside. its super thin and uses 3M adhesive backing sheet. you could trim it with a good pair of scissors and file it down to fit perfect. its got a glossy finish and would match the hood perfectly best of all its the real deal, not fake vinyl.

it's what i'd do. but what do i know, im a rookie when it comes to this mod'ing stuff.

^ i tried to explain to people that the tl-s tranny actually has some superior gearing, it responds very well, even with the crappy dbw

I drove an auto Type-S at the dealer, it did feel smooth but the gearing still sucks. Im just saying, if I were to go performance, the 6MT would deff be my choice. I'm pretty sure a stock 6MT would walk a 5AT fully bolted top end...Once these hit 4th gear its like hitting a brick wall.

i laugh if you believe that

thewanderer316's car nearly walked a s/c tl it was dead even... and we found a couple of problems with his catback yesterday which surely robbed some top end...

Haha dude I do trust you, I just thought you'd be able to do better than me since you're more performance oriented modded which I'm sure you can

I said 6MT TL-S...it has a better weight advantage, probably the same power to the wheels and much better gearing. There is nothing special about the 5AT's attached to the J-series engine, sorry to burst your bubble lol Slow shifts, delayed response from the sport-shift, terrible lag due to the torque converter, and horrible gearing (for racing anyways)

Well i challenge any 6MT-s that thinks they can take a fully modded 5AT, i am actually curious to see the outcome, but i'm pretty sure a stock 6MT will not win. I've been actually wanting to go to the track, so anybody local who would like to go, let me know.
