Boosejars '07 NBP Progress Thread
So, after having been on Acurazine for a few years now, figured it was time to create the progress thread - so here goes. I have driven Honda's since I was able to purchase my own vehicles, started out with 00 Civic EX, then a 91 Crx Si, then a 98 Accord, and onto the TL, I was able to get a pretty good deal on a 2007 TL Base 5AT - so went with that one instead of other trim levels.
-day when i brought her home, had to get some photos, btw wheels were curbed like crazy
Next order of business - was the detail - did a full work up, washed it, clay bar, compound, polish and wax - used Meguiars Ultimate line up - came out pretty nice - nothing like NBP when it's clean
-that shine tho
-mirror finish
-i see you
on to the next, was the wheels, i think when the XXR 530 thread was at like 3 pages, I started checking them out, love a look of a mesh wheel - but went with the gold, might be the OG of the 530's in Gold lol...specs 18x8.75 +35, with 235/40 Falken Ze-912's - probably the worst tire i've used, but didn't have the funds for better ones at the time, they worked, just not what i'm used to, wheels came out nice though and offset with the black nicely,
-after installation, the next morning on my way home from work
next on the list was the tint, needed to darken things up, 15% all around
-had to do a night shot
Next - Exhaust upgrade - based on a write up i saw on Azine from "scotterson" i followed his direction and did a single exit HKS Hi-Power Muffler, mated to 2.5" piping from the catback, no resonators, and no mid-muffler, essentially straight piped, shop did a great job, i got the muffler for $200, and the shop charged me $100 for the removal/installation of the new set up

converted to LED drls with the ijdmtoy kit, been running well for over two years, and replaced the side markers with all white LEDs from USR, did yellow vinyl overlays on the fogs -
Next up was the Brakes - replaced with the Powerstop package sold by Brakemotive
-painted the rotor hats black - took the time to remove the calipers/brackets and painted those black as well
-installed, looks much better behind the wheels, than the previous factory rotors stop better too!
Next on the list - rear roof spoiler from EndlessRPM, and LED Fog light bulbs, also from EndlessRPM
Next up - BC Coils! specs - extreme low option, standard springs, rates 12Front, 10Rear
-24" from ground to fender in front, and 24.5" in the rear - love the set up
Little photo shoot with my buddy
Next up - Headlight mod time - mods completed blacked out housing, painted bezels/turn signal strip, smoked diffusers, ZKW-R lens swap
-in the oven
-halves split apart
-everything apart - what a mess! lol
-medium smoked diffusers from Klearz
-all the components painted
-diffusers assembled - decided to add on some CF vinyl to wrap the ends
-back in the oven - to close back up, and reseal
-installed
-cut off with ZKW-R installed - i didn't get a before pic, these are with factory D2S bulbs
-switchbacks came in - Diode Dynamics - great company!
-comparison - stock running light on the passenger side, new switchback on the driver side
with the headlights on -
- color match is pretty close
the blacked out headlights really make the car more aggressive - also plasti-dipped the grill - peeled the A, everything else dipped - looks good imo..
Injen Cold Air Intake installed, Engine Covers painted (VHT - Burnt Copper), and Hood insulation removed
-New Wheels! Varrstoen MK2 18x10 +25, Frosted Bronze Lips, with Matte Black Faces
-test fit, and rolled/pulled the fenders and quarters
-old and the new -
Rubber on new wheels - Achilles ATR Sport 245/40, on the old Nitto Motivo 235/40
New set up is definitely more beefy, little more aggressive
-earned my Acura Crew Nation Banner - and latest mod, is a s2000 tow hook
-after another round of detailing and a b/w challenge photo
digging the way she sits and looks now - next on the list will be getting the aspec kit - so thats the next phase in the works..
Apologize for the lengthy read fellas - appreciate any feedback!
thanks

Thanks mate! this is a recap of the past 3 years of work lol...in a blog format yes, the time went by quick...lol..
Thanks bro, the exhaust is a hit or miss with the feedback, but i dig it for now, just trying to be different, may add the other side this year, as for the banner, I've had no issues with EndlessRPM - so i've had no reason to pull it, but its been on a while, so could probably get pulled...

Here another update - changed out the ijdmtoy 9005 led drl bulbs, for some from Diode Dynamics - these are the XP80 LED - rated at 510 lumens, not sure what lumen rating the ijdmtoy has - DD bulb is on the right
Comparison - jdmtoy bulbs on passenger side, DD on drivers
both DD bulbs installed
I am also DD switchbacks as well, they have a 3 year warranty, great so far!

Thanks to EndlessRPM (paid and shipped in about a week!) - I got my full Aspec Kit - Type S Front and Rear, and side skirts. The install was pretty straight forward, had to remove the fog light grills, and the fog light housing and the front lip fit without any real modifcations, had to drill some extra holes for the zip tie connections, but went smooth. the rear was a b*@$! to get off the car - several bolts were stripped slowing me down, but once the bumper was off, I cut the section off in between the exhaust ports, and trimmed about 1.5 inches on the other side of the exhaust ports to allow the larger type s exhaust ports to fit, otherwise installation was a breeze, side skits easy peasy - no issues...all in all i'm glad to say I have finally have the aspec kit...
-Type S front lip going on my base
-Front installed - sorry for the lighting - was in the shade
-didn't take any more pics lol - but here is the rear Type S on a base bumper
-the side skirts

thanks mate, picked up an s2k tow hook and it hooked up with no issues...now just debating on what to attack next, its a slush-box so not really looking to amp up on the performance arena, probably will start working into the interior, might be hitting up @ryanfett's guy for some CF pieces, and interested in doing a tablet mod as well...we'll see!
