Black'd out/Sm0ked Ambers :)

Spend 6 hours cleanin her up..

Not Sure if anyone else has done this to their headlights but it's def worth it.
Flashers are about 20% less noticable than stock headlights and already look much better than the LED lights I had. SO look at headlights carefully to see a hint of amber.

CLOSE UP

Lights

I will get some nights shots tonight. They look really amazing at night.
THANKS for looking

Nice. Just what I wanted to do to mines [eventually].. except I thought about leaving the very end amber [the area where some folks put in CF].
Are you using stock bulbs?

^ yes with my headlight setup, all thats done is the ambers are smoked to look black and the reflector is still behind it. LEDS won't do much in this setup so using stock white bulbs is the best.

Remember stock bulbs have a 380 degree lighting but led has a 180..

nice job...
the whole idea of still having the diffusers there is the way to go for light output.
i'm currently trying to do make the custom diffusers work for all TL members here with few different shades....

u bought the set of replicate zkw lens from matt retro source right??

Wow that's hot, nice job.

Little off topic... what size tires do you have on the RJs? Also did you need to roll the fenders to fit?

Nice looking headlight tint.
Anyone know if someone on here tinted their tails?
I mean only tint signals on the tails.
I wanna try that.

Either that or I might tint it like Ballin did before. Only the part that lights up at night.
I'm not a fan of tinting the whole tail light.

Hey! it's been awhile since i posted in this part of the forum! I love the new look. It's something different from the blacked out or cleared out lights everyone has. Btw, being from Cali, how come you guys park on one direction? I am thinking of how I would parallel park with the driver side close to the curb..

^Amber is the color of the turn signals in the headlights. The orangey part is considered amber.

Headlights look great. Did you bake the lights?

If that is the headlight tint I think it is, there is only one option (I believe). You can contact Blue Batmobile, a member of this site, regarding headlight tint.

^ They have a stronger blue line, the light output is much cleaner and better.

I still have factory HID bulbs and from the distance they scream this very nice blue. It's sick bro! The light output is amazing!!! I def love my lights.

not any bmw projectors from 5 years ago can direct fit their lens to our TL projectors.
you'll need to find a pair of clear 3" lens to direct fit them. zkw lens were only pair that give TL projectors a clean sharp cut off with the right spacer (distance).

the major change can be seen here:
