Black and bright

Hello all, i havnt really been on the forum to much since i sold my wheels last, i considering selling the car, but decided that was not a valid idea... so now that the nice weather is back upon us the mod bug bit me!

so thought it would be a great opportunity to do my headlights!!! did ZKW swap, and blacked out the housing... i also decided to black my middle section of the aspec lip and center area of my grill that was also same color as the aspec. anyways on to the photos. btw i hate making titles, im not much for coming up with something clever...

some more goodies will be a arriving next week also. ill be sure to post up some additional photos at that time!

Yup, blacked out housing (completely?) and retained amber diffuser in base headlight.

yeah its a base 06 canadian headlight. i blacked the housing and the entirely behind the turn signal. wanted to remove amber and get the usr diffuser, but they dont ship to canada. so this was the next best choice.

awesome! doesn't look bad at all! I want to remove the amber but scared of breaking the chrome thing in between.... i still have to look into it. But this looks pretty awesome also

Thanks man, its just a few plastic things holding the amber in place, easily dealt with by needle nose. do it!

I remember I initially wanted this setup for my headlights but i went with the removing the amber route. Blacking out the headlights really transform the front end a lot

It looks clean-maybe consider clearing the headlights (removing the amber) too.

i originally wanted usr clear diffusers and black out reflector behind, but they dont ship to Canada. What i did was my next fav setup.

I personally think clearing them completely looks cheap.

Not if you install switchbacks

I'm a noob so don't get offended...are those the real ZKW lenses or are they the replicas?

Ahh, so the real stuff just wanting to know if the replica lens has the same dark tint to it. I like the fact that it has a smoked look instead of the stock look.

ZKW, which is the first picture is the convex shaped lense that was replaced in the projector.

see link for more detail...
http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/show...-ZKW-vs.-ZKW-R

The signal light diffuser is stock amber, with the chrome reflector behind it painted black, to make the diffuser look "smoked"...

just to clarify...

Yeah I got that, the actual lens in the projector looks darker in the 3rd pic though. (Compared to the 2nd pic) unless it's just the angle...

Edit: You have the headlights on in the 2nd pic don't you?

That's why I thought the 2nd pic was the OEM lens and the 3rd pic was the ZKW lens.
