It was not fun...actually quite frustrating, especially the first time around...what you do is start with the round center part, leaving the backing on the vinyl adhered on either side of it. Then do one side (bar) at a time. I began by filling in the indent, and pressed it into place with a silicone spatula, then moved up and down respectively away from it - repeat on the other side. All I did in prep was clean each piece thoroughly with rubbing alcohol. If you run into trouble with your project feel free to PM me...Good Luck
So i was searching for a 04-08 TL as a DD and really wanted a white one but freakin white comes in 8 out of qo with tan.....i hate tan. anyways, so i ended up looking for a black one and i found one and jumped on it quick.
i got a 07 TL-Type S also in black.
Just wanted to say, you modded your car well.....i dont want to go crazy but i feel i will get carried away, i already know what i plan on doing i just have to get past this winter....i hate winter...

Yes, thank you for clarifying that I was indicating side skirts.
I admire the look of the A-Spec sideskirts especially on BigPZ's fine ride. But, I think that the TL-S side skirts would fit my base TL better as I have only a front A-Spec lip and a stock TL-S rear bumper cover ( to fit quad exhaust tips); not a full A-Spec kit.

That being said, what plans do you have in mind?

Let me begin this this post by stating that the Canadian winter I was dreading did not come...While I am truly relieved that I didn't even start my snow blower once this year, I was kind of looking forward to really testing my snow tires....
I spend the day yesterday getting my car ready for the spring. I removed the front clip and resealed my headlights with a nice fat bead of scilicone, as I was having sporadic fogging issues. I also swapped out my snows for my 19s and adjusted my ride height appropriately.
While I was under the car reinstalling my front bumper, the good old mailman came with a package, and another task for the day - It could not have worked out better if I planned it. Thanks to SharksBreath for helping me avoid the ridiculous shipping fees to Canada - I owe you brother!!
Onto the project...
Taillights needed to go...I wanted it all black....
I honestly thought that swapping the LED boards from the stock Type-S tails to the Depos would be a lot more difficult than it ended up being, and I had the new tails installed in under an hour...
I personally feel that the tails complete the look as far as matching up with the headlights and side markers. Now my damn Type-S badge with its red does not match...I think I'm gonna get me one of these...

Thanks! They weren't on the BM...What happened was I found a this set on ebay and the seller stated he would ship for free anywhere in the US. To me in Toronto though (75 miles from the US border), the seller wanted to charge $130.00 + another $30 in duty. Mr. Shark ordered them for me, had them shipped to his house for free, and then shipped them to me for about a third of that.

Dude, the darker Type S badge would complete the look. But I almost would say to leave the OEM badge.....I'm diggin' the hint of red in it on your car!

Steven, I've already purchased the black badge. It was only about $10. I understand it's just a bit larger than the OEM one, so I'll do a test fit to see whether I like it or not before proceeding with the final install...but I appreciate that YOU personally love the red accents

So I received my new black Type-S badge yesterday in the mail, and couldn't wait to slap it on. It's a little bigger than the OEM one and the S has a slightly different shape, but I LOVE it. I stayed up late in the garage removing the repositioned red one and getting this one on...I was about to update my thread, but Azine was down
In any case here are some pics...Steven I know you LOVE the red accents on your car, and you told me not to swap em out, but I think the new one completes my black and grey/chrome theme!!

Awesome progress! and I feel you on this one, I'm going for the stormtrooper black/white look and the type s badge is the only thing thats red on the car...
Did you purchase your badge from ebay? I searched for one last week and found a couple with measurements that were smaller than the 11x3.5x.5 And I looked again today and I cant find em... Probably gna have to go for the larger size. How do you like em??

No problem Ken!! You'll get better use out of them than my garage will! I wish I could have made it out to Speedstar, but I had work to do landscaping the backyard...looks like even more cars came out than last year....maybe we'll roll to the next big one together?? If you need anything going forward, let me know!
