I would wire the footwell LEDs to the dome supervision wire.
There are two bolts holding the fuse box to the car. Removing them allows room to access the connector from behind.
Remove the bottom bolt holding the fuse box, and remove the top left bolt of the fuse box also. This will allow you to push the fuse box away from the "wall" to be able to get your hand behind there and unplug the connector, rather than reaching around from the front.
It does take time, but don't give up
If you're set on wiring the LEDs to the dome supervision wire, check to make sure the splices are good. This can be done with a multimeter. There's no other reason why splicing into the door sill wires would not work.

My only idea was that I didn't use the correct gauge for the splice connectors that I had. All of the ones that came with the sills were red, and the ones I was using for the LEDs were blue.

From my experience, blue is 14-16 AWG and red is 18-22 AWG.
The splice connector you used was too big to actually break through the wire insulation, therefore no connection.

and a buff jobs holly swirls. It take time, if you go from wash to finish with wax after buff job doing by one person it could rack up to 10-11 hours.

That is a cool shift knob.....I went with Momo quite a few years ago-still love it.

Is that shift knob real leather or is it plastic-y? Also, how is the size compared to OEM? I have been contemplating ordering it since I saw your pictures but im afraid it could be too big or feel like plastic. Looks really good though!!!

I'd say that it is in between a nice leather and a shitty fake one. It isn't amazing, but it's not garbage either. It's a bit bigger than the OEM knob
It's definitely not as nice of a thing as a momo one probably is (I was looking at momos as well, they seemed to be far more well-constructed), but it's damn cool and I'd say worth the price.

No new ideas, too lazy to take my wheels off and paint them so...
Let's do a detail and see if we can help those terrible swirls
What i did:
-Rinse
-Soap
-Rinse
-Wheel Cleaner
- Tail Pipe Redux (polish with Barkeep's)
- Leather conditioning
- Clay Bar
- Hand Polish
- Turtle Wax spray
- Wipe down all glass inside and out
- Trim Restorer on interior plastic
- Dusting & Vacuuming
Wow, that was a process. Took me about 6 hours, it was definitely labor intensive and time consuming. Must be so meticulous...
Anyway, she cleans up nice

Yep, it was a bitch. I'm not too concerned - I still plan to get a professional job done eventually. For now I wanted to simply clean up some of the spots that car washes never get - inside the doors, under the windshield glass, inside the trunk edges, interior stuff like cupholders and vents, etc
