Accord Fog Light Mod with LED's

So I finally got around to doing my Accord fog light mod. Big thanks to guitarplayer16 and his DIY with feedback as well. Made it pretty simple to do.

I've had the kit for over a year and finally got the balls to attempt this. I actually finished last week. Took three days after work. 3 hours the first day taking the bumper off and dremeling and mounting one side of the fogs. 3 hours the next day for finishing the first side and doing the second side. And about 4 hours the last day wiring, putting the bumper back on and adjusting the lights. I also took the tint off the headlights as with it on, the fogs didn't match well. I love the final outcome. Looks great.

The final touch was waiting for the LED bulbs. Went with H11 6000k LED bulb. I bought the HID kit and harness, but didn't want to go through the wiring. The LED's were a direct replacement and no wiring needed. They aren't as bright, but I'm only going for the look, white with a slight hint of blue. And this way, hopefully I won't be blinding anyone while driving...lol. They don't match the stock headlights as much as I wanted, but better than the stock fog light yellowish color.

Let me know what you think. Is the two tone color work or not? It's not as bad in person I think.

Stock fog bulbs. Yellowish.

They aren't super bright. I wouldn't be able to drive at night with just the fogs. But I wasn't looking for brightness as I usually don't use fog lights. Just wanted them too look good, appearance and color.

I bought the actual Accord fog light kit on eBay. I started a thread about it over a year ago. I believe they were in the $45 range. It's been a while.

HID's would've been worth the 1-2 extra hour's worth of work IMO. Not only would you have had the look you wanted, but you also would've had a functional mod.

Does anyone know if I should remove the metal piece that covers the bulb inside the fog? Here is a pic of mine. Below that is a pic of another member's without it. I didn't know if I should or if it's possible. Or maybe they are different.

The shield is to prevent glare on oncoming traffic. I doubt those LED's have enough lumens for that to be an issue either way.
