24no7 UA6 Progress Thread
I have finally done enought to my TL and since i don't have a progress thread i thought i would make one. I will be posting small or big ( <-- which i highly doubt T.T) updates
When i first got the car
3 month later i got the A-Spec body kit, got an awesome discount at the dealer
i liked it a lot. However, i couldn't forget about the 07 type-s that i saw at the dealer so I decided to get the type s parts
I know that many people don't like the idea of making a base tl look like a type s, specially when one could buy the real thing (type s). Well to each its own. I always said that my car is an 05 when people say "nice type s"
first i modified my tail lights.
then when i got the 07 type s headlights i opened them up and remove the refletors and installed the type s body kit. Later, i installed the back-up sensors
I got the navtool and bought the 04-06 navigation system from martin but sold it later. For christmas, my brother bought me the 07 tl type s navi from the dealer i think, and carbon fiber kit
Installed my start button. I enjoy it every day but i wish it would work like the OEM
Got different gauges and the tl type s bezel (i had to modify the 05 bezel to make it look like the 07 type s )
everything is back on the car
changed the gagues.
Modified the grille but later went back with the stock one
Finally, i decided to install the MB LEDs and had the car lowered. Perhaps, more work needs to be done but this was what i could accomplish. I'm not a pro but i did the best i could
Also, i installed the clear tail lights.
the outcome
i got my DRL yesterday so after the installation, a friend made a short video
Future plans (maybe):
- C-MOD gille
- Carbon fiber on yellow reflectors
- Wilwood brake.

Nice job so far, I kinda like the modified grill you had on, definitely different and not in a bad way. I'm interested to see a pic of the fogs lit up at night to see what they look like to decide if I'm a fan of them or not. In the video they look decent lit up, but the one side looked brighter than the other for some reason.

wow dude you topped my type s conversion and even did the damn gauges...WOW lol i love it
you did that custom work for the MB leds yourself? damn
looks much better with the empty part filled in with mesh but take that chrome strip off
whyd you take the type s front aspec off? itll look so much better with it on and those MB leds
how much was the interior cf pieces and they just snap on right?

i sold the 07 type s front lip spoiler long ago, if i install a lip spoiler it will be the base tl for sure.
Carbon fiber pieces cost me 270 i think.
I bought the 04-06 navi from martin, the 07 navi was bought from the dealer.
True but i couldn't since i'm an international student

Im really liking your car! As a fellow fake type-s owner lol I think you've gone farther with the conversion than I have.
I loooooove the original tails you had on there with the white in the middle. I've been wanting a set forever
But the ghost cleared ones you have look awesome on ssm!

I've been waiting to put an o4-o6 a-spec an a tl-s front. I don't have the front bumper. Too expensive... I'm a poor college student =[
