2005 TL with Type-S Aspec kit.

whats up azine!
i recently order the type-s aspec in nbp. i know some people on here said it cant be done and its better to buy the 2008 bumper, but i took the risk and cut my bumper and found a way to install it on. It was pretty hard especially the fogs i didnt know where to mount them i used metal plates to hold them in place.I also did a navi- conversion (will find pics later) cost me 700 on parts. On with the PICS
Next Mod:
-drop on tiens ss
-paint my front bumper
-redo my tint!
-aspec sides
-rear view mirrors with signaling

Everyone said a mix of "no it won't fit" or "you have to cut the lip/bumper" to "it'll fit no problem" if they had ssm in the lip I would have went for it! But good job can you post what you cut out etc?

Edit:: taking a better look I see what you cut ! That isn't much at all tbh It almost looking like nothing needed to be cut did you have a pic of from the inside showing why that part of the bumper needed to be cut? I know selfish request hehe

Is the 07/08 honeycomb grill a direct fit for the 04-06? I have an 04 and I've been wanting the honeycomb grill. Didn't even think about the 07/08.

Nah, it's not a direct fit.
Pretty damn close though.

does it just require a bit of cutting to trim it? and is it difficult?

My bad, I clicked on the img tag instead of the link tag.

Here's the DIY: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=817615

You only do a bit of cutting with the dremel.

The 07/08 grill opening is taller than the 04-06.
That means you have to get rid of some of the middle section (behind the grill bar, you wont see the cut). You just cut the grill right in half and trim the nub off.

If you have time can you pleeeeeeeease maybe just post just one more pic straight on if not its fine sometimes its kind of a hassle ... I'm about to get the rear tls aspec; & almost willing to sell my front base to go tls!... just not sure if I could use my current accord fog light kit & if the honeycomb grills come with the tls aspect?...

I did the full type s conversion in the beginning of the year the accord fogs look awkward and dont fit properly in the opening for the fogs. Your better off getting the depo 07-08 foglights thats what I did, and create a bracket to make it fit if you dont get the type s bumper... And the honeycomb grill has to be bought separate.

My 08 TL type S has an A-Spec rear bumper. Gives it a nice more aggressive look.

i literally used like 10 zip ties on each side and drilled random holes to hold it up. the smaller the hole you cut the better to wedge the light in there.
