2004 TL Restore / Repaint

So a little history, I got the car a couple years ago. I paid $900 for it. When I first got it, I did a water pump / timing belt kit right away (car ran good but owner had no records or knowledge of when it was last done). I also took care of a few other small mechanical issues, brakes, a single control arm, hood struts, and a window regulator for the passenger side door.

Anyway here are a few before and after pictures. I'll post a link to the imgur galleries if anyone wants to see all the in-between stuff.

$1,100 for new bumpers, materials, and new windshield. But don't expect to pay that anywhere you go, I did all the work myself along with my co-workers and I work at a body shop that got me the materials for cost.

Looking for an inexpensive respray on my RDX within the next couple of years... I know a guy had his TL repainted for $1100, and it came out looking pretty decent...

That is awesome man, always like seeing people restore these cars to their original beauty. Is it an auto or manual? Either way great job

its an auto, if i were to spend what a TL is actually worth i'd have held off for a manual, but it gets the job done. 250+k miles on the original engine and trans and still running strong. i did the 3x3 trans 'flush' and replaced the shift solenoids about a year ago. one of these days im going to buy a manual one from the wrecked car auction (seen them sell for as little as $500 + fees) and swap everything over. it wouldn't take me too long having access to a lift. i could just drop both subframes from the bottom and swap them over and then go from there with all the other stuff required (cluster, ecu, ignition, etc.. ).
