2 small cosmetic changes....
Just a quick update, today was spent doing my first of many correction sessions.
The paint is actually really smooth and currently beads up nice which leaves me to believe it was somewhat taken care of. That being said before I clay and buff the car I wanted to hand buff the snot out of problem areas consisting of fine scratches, mainly around the door handles, gas door and one here and there at about waste level at various spots.
So I got some Turtle Wax Scratch/Swirl remover which I've used before with excellent results and spent 3 hours today hand buffing those sections. I am very pleased with the results, 95% of what I was attacking went away. That sort of has me wondering how fragile Acura's clearcoat is? I'll have to use extra caution when buffing time arrives.
I also took bug and tar remover and scrubbed the piss out of the downward facing portions of the sideskirts and rear bumper, not having mud guards for 76K miles def. leaves it's mark. All in all I feel I accomplished what I wanted to and that was to see the white sideskirt underneath.
I've always been a Lexol user but purchased Meguiar's Gold Class cleaner/condition AIO today. It comes in a black soap pumper type of bottle and comes out like lotion. I'm very happy with that as well.
I partially debadged the rear as well. I really liked the car with them on but am partial to not having them as well. I sort of liked it better when they were on. Thoughts? ::shrugs::
All in all it was a successful day, with all my problem areas being basically scratch free I am ready to clay and buff which saves me the time spent today on the day I set aside to do some powered paint correction.
I DID MEAN TO TAKE ACTUAL PICTURES for once but forgot my stupid camera at home.
Here's two I snapped after the busy day:

Ahhhh, most importantly I got my HFL to work!! What a neat feature that is, I have a lot to learn about it. I need to sit down with the manual and figure out how to delete the 43 people in the PO's phone book though, doing it one by one takes too long.
I did run across a decent scratch on the driver's corner of the trunk lid top, looks like someone had a purse sitting on it and drug it across, damn it. Today's work blended it somewhat and I'm hoping buffing will help to hide it, it will catch your fingernail so the damage is done. It is what it is I suppose, a used car.

All about attention to detail, especially with a used car.
