'08 WDP TL (Base) - Mod suggestions?

here's my brand new (to me) 2008 WDP TL w/ parchment interior Excuse the cell phone pictures... I'll take some with my Ti2 as soon as the Ohio sun decides to come back out, whenever that is.

So I'm obviously interested in doing some mods to it but I wanted some opinions from the guys here before doing anything potentially stupid. My overall concept is "black and white" with chrome accents (chrome mainly via emblems). starting with black rims I'm looking at something like >these<. I was also thinking of picking some some carbon fiber "racing" pedals for some interior accents for a whopping 20 bucks. I should also mention that I really like its current tail lights and so I'm not really interested in blacking them out. Headlights might still be a go, but I'm not sure blacking headlights out and not tail lights makes sense... That's all I really have in mind so far. I am basically trying to stay classy but adding a bit of sport to it. I also just noticed yesterday that the car doesn't have floor mats so I just ordered them on ebay for about 100 bucks.

So, all that said, any opinions on what else I could do? I'm not really interested in anything performance related since I think the car is pretty speedy for a luxury sedan as it is and if I really wanted something faster, I'd just get a sports car

Nice whip. Keep the modding clean and simple like you said. The rims look nice, i guess it would depend on the specs of them to see them truly stand out. As for some beginning mods, i'd say tints - plasti dip the middle of the grill - ( i like it done best when the A is kept chrome), and a drop of course

Type S side markers too?

whoops. forgot to mention this... WDP FTW 08 FTW haha

Thanks man, yeah I'm loving it so far. I'll look into the plasti-dip everyone seems to be talking about, you're probably right that the middle bar dipped would better set off the "A" on it.

Do I need anything to drop it? Or is that a simple at-home adjustment?

Coilovers would be needed for a nice drop or springs if you're looking to save some money and not go that low. Even though when i asked on here if i should get springs or coils everyone told me coilovers or to not even bother, i listened .

Congrats on the purchase!

I did the whole white/black theme and I love it. I started with blacking out the headlights and then I went to the tails. From there I painted the grill, got wheels, and eventually did a black roof.

Plan out everything carefully and don't rush into it. If I were you I would keep searching for wheels, I'm not a huge fan of the ones you posted. Besides that, enjoy the car and don't do anything too quickly!

Thanks for the input. I'm not rushing on buying anything except for the floor mats ^^; I also checked out Tyler's thread for some ideas and I like 90% of the stuff I saw there (still not sold on blacking out the tails). I think I'll start with blacking out the chrome grill, except for the "A" which I think I'll keep chrome. I'll probably do headlights soon too (not sure if black or clear would look better yet).

I'll keep posting here as I do stuff

Welcome Corvet.

Tint's are always first, then it's up to you, depending on what you want (aesthetic or performance). Just mind your wallet.

What is a good % for tints? I only know the law limits, no idea what actually looks nice though.

20% looks good, but it's illegal in most states.

I'm getting black tails similar to his (that you don't like) in the next little bit (ordered)...If you're interested in Type-S tails PM me maybe we can work something out...

Haha, I know I'm in the super minority on the black tails.

I'm going to think about the car as a whole some more before I make any decisions but I appreciate the offer. I'll let you know if I decide to go that route

So I just bought me some plasti-dip from home depot but I was disappointed to see they didn't carry the high-gloss version of it. I bought some Krylon black high gloss *for plastic* but I'm wondering if anyone knows whether that will work or not before I try it tomorrow.

I also got my TL floor mats today! I put them in as soon as I got home and I feel a lot less naked now And my new pedals came in, but I'm not sure it will look good or feel good to use so I may not keep them.

Some questions:
-where to get the black roof?
-where to get the black antenna cover?
-where to get interior LED's?
-roof spoiler, yay or nay?

also, I want to drop & stance it asap :x
