Cleaned her up and had a little time to kill, so drove over to the local Middle School and shot some pics.

Enjoy!

Very nice. I will say, however, that I think the TL-S rims do fit the car better but those rims are still beautiful!

Hey, what size are those tires? It does look very good and IMO doesn't need a drop.

I was actually worried that a +35 offset wheel 8.5 inches wide would stick out too much and look like crap. But it came out real nice as evident by some of the angular shots. They are still a little tucked under the fenders which is what you aim for!

Thanks! Wheel Specs: Axis Hiro Hyper Silver 18X8.5
Tire Specs: Yokohama Advan S4 (UHPAS) 245/40/18

Not much of a tuck for sure, but yeah they're definately still under the wheel wells. I like the stance now, it looks a bit more aggressive from the front and rear.

Thought about it, but rejected the idea. I'm very pleased with the look, handling, feel, and don't want to change it at all. Plus there's just too much snow in this area to mess with a lowered car and I like having every part of my new $35K+ car covered under warrantee.

Looks very beautiful. Great color choice. Nice car over all.

Am I the only one that hates the DRL's on the new TL's?

Love that color!! I don't think my CBP looks as good (but it's close).

So much for anonymity!!! Yep, that's me!!!

BTW, not a factory, it's the Engineering HQ for a manufacturing company. We don't make anything here, just design and test. Like all other MFR's these days, the product building takes place in Mexico, India, and China.

car looks awesome. Any particular reason you didn't go with the 19's? Oh yeah I think a drop would make it look even better.

^^^
Thanks for the props!

Went with 18's because of potholes and ride comfort. Too many guys are complaining that thier expensive 19's are always getting bent and cracked.

I won't lower it for a lot of reasons, mostly because I don't need issues with warrantees and because we get some crappy (SNOWY) weather in the winter.

Nice, but why would you mention that you brought it to a middle school?
BTW I like the stock rims, can't tell if there's a lot of brake dust on them.

I mentioned it just because. It was a Sunday afternoon, the middle school is about 1/4 mile from the house, it's a pretty campus and that's where I went to shoot the pics without anyone else around. Why do you ask?

I personally belong to the camp that freakin hates those OEM rims. THUS the new wheels.

Yeah, I agree it is nice to see another MRP. Fact is the reason I bought this color (they had all of them on the lot when I chose it) was because aside from the KBP it's the rarest of TLS's. I like it being hard to spot! I've only seen one other on the road, and it was a TL base. I love the WDP and NBP but there are a lot of 'em around.

Anyhow, I like being a member of the more 'elite' MRP Club.

hey, that baby looks MEAN. Instead of a drop (IMHO, it'll looks better either way), what you really need is a Corsa or HKS exhaust to make it sound as beautiful as it looks. It kinda looks like a Ferrari. and the best part is, if you have a kid that goes to that school (or any school, for that matter) you will definetely get all eyes (and ears, if you get the exhaust)
