Wow. No words Needed some extra leverage This literally is the metal attached to brake pad left New pads & rotors Swapped out busted passenger side mount
Seen better days Pad dust was coated to wheel. Still about 5% on wheels it was so bad. Interior just dirty Oil change day i bought it. Drained a whopping 2.5 qrts
Everything looks like normal wear and tear but geesh, what were they scratching against the paint with?! Washing it with steel wool? Maybe they were out in the woods going offroad?
That's looking much better. Sorry to see an Acura so neglected. Some people would have walked away. Those scratches are from bushes/vegetation for sure. A nice rubbing compound sealant, and then wax will take care of that. Great job on clearing up those headlights too.!
Soooooo. I wanted to see how hot the Type-S market is in the "A" so I put the car on craigslist for $6200 sunday night, original investment was $3800 and spent about $600 in parts and did everything myself. Phone starting ringing Monday morning. Sold the car Tuesday afternoon for $5800. Mind you all the seats were ripped, dent in fender and hole in bumper. Guy said I don't care, all I care about is the maintenance, dropped 58 hundred in front of me and drove off. Like that I netted about $1400 in less than 60days.
In the end the deal breaker was the seats. I didn't want to spend the money to get them redone. And I think the car was gonna end up being a money pit because it sat so neglected for about a year. I did all I could to help her. She found a nice new home

Another MRP. 1 owner, 141k miles, timing belt done in 2016. I pulled the carfax. 30 maintenance records between 2 Jersey Acura dealers and 1 Honda dealer. Transmission fluid regularly changed, engine mounts replaced, bluetooth works, no cracked dash or ripped seats, new tires, completely dry under the engine, power steering pump dry and recall has been done on hose, dirty headlights which i just cleared up.
issues are rattling heat shield, will have to replace front engine mount and one fog light is burned out, dip stick handle is broken. Lol Before After
Immediately after I got my red 2008 Camry, I saw an Anthracite/Camel 2006 TL base, MINT condition, all maintinance records taped on the window... Tbelt done, new HID bulbs, I mean, EVERYTHING!!!
160K miles, $6,800... In March 2017...
I didn't pay for the Camry, it was a kind gesture, but the person who got it for me mislead me, and gave me only a few minutes warning that a deal was setup... (He knew nothing about cars) And,I always think to myself, if he would've talked to me first and let me do the shopping instead of trusting his ripoff friend, I could've gotten that TL, and saved him 3K, no kidding!!!
Sold the Camry for a different TL 3 months later, but after a year, it wasn't working for me, so I got a Kia Optima...
My living situation has changed recently, and although I'm on thin ice, planning on getting a cleaner TL with nav this time... That is, once I'm settled in sonewhere...
You're thread is literally killing me!!!
Have fun with this one, I want lots of nudes pics!!!
I guess door gaurds serve a purpose, but are tacky, IMO...
Amaizing that they came off without leaving a stain on the paint underneath!!!
proper pads and compound, polish and wax will leave you feeling satisfied. However this car sat in a garage so there is only fading on antenna and trunk spoiler

Cool part is that you wouldn't have to repaint any metal panals... You could even just replace them with already painted parts, OEM or aftermarket...
maintenance update....replaced purge valve sensor in 15 minutes and no more "tighten gas cap" message lighting up my nav screen at night blinding me lol. Sensor from ebay for $32
