06 RBP + tein SS

Just got my Tein SS installed this morning. Lowered it to one figure gap. Dampering setting is at 10F 12R. Handling is great compared to stock and the ride is NOT BAD AT ALL !!! NO clunk sounds . Got it from marcus@heeltoeato, he's amazing also i would like to thank drdamian for his advices.

Here are some pics.

900 usd actually REALLY REALLY cheap. In Toronto Tein Basic is around 1000 Canadian and for tein SS its 1300 Canadian lol

Tein SS's are for sure one of my fav drops. Did you get the EDFC as well?
Great looking car, just wait untill it settles your finger gap is gonna turn into a tuck.

I had my Tein SS installed by Marcus at HeelToe. He did the install in about 2 hours while carrying on a conversation. That included our test drive as well. Get guy to deal with. Rides incredible and most importantly...NO CLUNKS!!

Looking at atleast another 1/8 inch. Think mine was close to that about a week or so after install. Also did you go with a camber kit or was stock adjusters enough for ya to get back into specs?

About the "ride height"
One thing I'm noticing pretty consistently is if you follow the directions from Tein, they specify 1" space from the bottom of the flange collar to the bottom of the threaded shank on the body should = 13 inches (wheel center to fender apex). That spec may be true when they're new, but they will settle.

I bought mine used (7K miles), and the Tein specified setting left me with 12.5" in the front and 12" in the back - LOW...

I'm now running exactly 1 inch if thread like this:

1" of thread in the front and 1 1/4" thread in the back... That gave me 13 1/4 all around, which is one nice fat finger gap...

What I'm seeing here is that everyone is low in the back if you follow Teins directions. If you kneel, and look at the gap, you'll see what I'm talking about... probably because the front fender is cut a little deeper. Either way, suggest you guys go a take a look, and possibly raise the back a 1/4 in.

Raising the rear a bit will also help that really off camber (mine was -2.1)

hmm b4 i gave the suspension to the shop i set the height to 1" between the spring seater and the locks. (i read ur DIY thread b4 i got my SS, GREAT JOB!! it was really helpful). i told the dude i wanted a 1 finger gap and he told me he had to do some adjustment, 1" of thread didn;t give me a 1 finger gap. I m going to rise it a bit b4 winter comes.

Any tips on how to protect the threads from getting stuck with sand and salt?

Nice drop man, can I borrow those hook spanners? I bought my set of Tein's used and the owner did not give me the hook spanners. I just need it to adjust it back up a little once winter comes. You know how it is in the winter time in T.O.
