Good luck with this request buddy. I've been waiting to hear clips on this one ever since the type-s xlr8 exhaust was released. Every contestant who promised to provide clips failed miserably. (left everyone hanging dry) :thumbsdow

TL-S Axlebacks

TL-S Dyno

Peak HP showed a gain of 10whp and 8 ft lbs of tq but look at the torque/hp curve around 3-4k. At around 3500 there is about a 20whp and 30 ft lbs of tq gain

Here are the dyno #'s:

This is dyno graph a few months before showing the difference on the vehicle with the XLR8 catback exhaust for the TL-S:

This is the dyno graph showing the gains of the j-pipe. Dyno conditions were similar; in fact there was more humidity and a higher temp on this day so it might even make more power:

Peak gains were 7 whp and 16 ft lbs of tq to the wheels but this car was making tons of torque down low.

Here's a video of the dyno and the car pulling away at WOT:

Josh, you planning on having a groupbuy for the exhaust anytime soon? I should have the cash in a few weeks. I was going to wait till next year for an exhaust, but changed my mind.

I guess we can try to do a GB. I'll try to post up something tomorrow. We will need 10 ppl and it will take probably 3 weeks give or take to produce the exhausts. I'll post up some specs tomorrow.

Although I missed the group buy I must say I love it and dont really care if I could have saved a hundred bucks or something dont get me wrong its always good to save money but the exhaust is worth every penny paid.

Since I can't get the ATLP, I guess I'm in for the groupBuy. Is XL going to start a list?

I requested it and received a responce from Josh originally. Since then I've asked him twice and I've not heard back from him. I just went ahead an ordered the ATLP V2 and Comptech exhuast... not waiting around anymore.

Now I hope my CAI gets here soon.

Hehe, sorry Josh I was the one who requested the Exhaust GB and then turned around an ordered the comptech from ya last week(Thrusday). Either way you're still getting my money. Do you have an ETA on that BTW?

Odd question about the exhaust - I got the J-Pipe already, and I'm planning on getting the non-resonated exhaust, but am wondering if it requires any welding? J-Pipe was just a bolt on, which was nice for someone like me who doesn't have access to a welder!

No welding is required. It's a complete bolt on unit.

question guys. I just want to know if it's just me. I have a resonated type-s exhaust and I get a significant amount of drone when throtteling the car. Anytime I tap on the accelerator it gets to the point where my change in the cup holder is rattling like crazy. I can tell anywhere from 1.7k-2k. Does anyone else notice this?

On another note..this exhaust is killer. I've received so many comments on it. I don't think there's a better looking exhaust than this one.

Any chance that you'd be willing to throw in a high flow cat at a discounted price too? I have your J-Pipe (love it!) and want the single tip exhaust, so the only other limiting factor is the cat for me.

SO, I have had this exhaust and j pipe from xlr8 for a few weeks now. Some advice. To those who want compliments on there exhaust from every body who hears it go for xlr8. For those who want to be satisfied at the end of the day and shut off there car with a big smile knowing there going to smile harder when they turn it back on... go for xlr8 . I love every sound this thing makes. It even pops like no tomorrow once you know how to play with it. Amazing exhaust. Not putting down any other exhaust but XLR8 for the Fuc*ing win!
