same here. driver's side. pipe was not expanded enough to let the smaller pipe slip into it. i had to open it up more to make it fit. it was obviously not test fit at the shop before shipping.
running out of ideas to squeeze this sucker home... how did you open it up?

What torque are you guys setting the 14 mm bolts at?

the ones on the v-band clamps? I just tightened those down to point where the clamp stopped moving around, and just an extra 1/4 turn. In other words, not much torque at all.

Exhuast Install Lessons Learned:

1. Keep the WD-40 handy.

2. Install the driver's side muffler pipe to the Y-pipe before sliding it underneath the car.

3. Keep cardboard underneath the mufflers to prevent scratching.

okay the mufflers are giving me a headache... how do i tone it down?

That didn't take too long... Some of us have added additional or better resonators along the straight pipe section. It seems to help. There are also those CC inserts mentioned here or in another thread. I'm going to go with a big ol' magnalfow resonator one of these days when I get some time.

If anyone upgraded their exhaust and looking to get rid of their old exhaust tips that OEM's an 07 TL/S let me know - 330-2844009 - I have recently picked up the car and it is missing a set of tips from the passenger side.
