Xlr8

Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum so please bare with my nooby questions

I was wondering if the XLR8 will fit the base model for the 08TL or do i need to make a cut at the bumper. Also if i put on the a-spec kit do i also need to make a cut??

Thanks!

XLR8 makes two models. there is a base exhaust which will fit your car directly, and a type-s exhaust which has quad tips. the type-s version will require a type-s bumper or rear lip. if you get the rear lip only you will have to cut the stock bumper. if you get the type-s bumper, you wont have to cut anything

As long as you buy the exhaust for the base, it will fit with no problem, even with the a spec kit.

For some reason I can add the videos to this site...

I have a 06tl, so i bought the 07-08 s-type aspec rear and had to do some cutting on my old bumper, but it was worth it!!!!

I would get the quads, they look really nice, but base is good too, less work.

Sweet fancy Moses!!!!!...there is definitely a difference!!!! There is no bottleneck anymore since I had the CAI, j-pipe, 3rd HF CAT already. This baby breaths a lot better now.

The whole range gets a gain as the exhaust is able to "process" the air quicker. Even in 6th on the highway I can tell that it's able to pick up speed quicker than before.
Love getting on the highway in 3rd... just push it a little and all of a sudden...going 80+
