Was wondering if this would work?

It seems like this would work sense the chassis are the same and I don't want to spend $1100 for eprocats. Will the check engine light come on? What do you think?

if my memory serves me right, this does not have the cat in it so a check engine light will come on. As well you may end up loosing power, this has been used by ussi and i think actros with a supercharger and gained pwerformance due to the exhaust being freed up due to the supercharger, but in a normal application, you would loose power.

You'll definitely get a CEL with a straight pipe as the sensors will see no difference.

Other thoughts were to get these and add high flow cats to essentially get e-shifts at a much lower cost.

The TL does not have exhaust headers; they are cast into the engine so there's not a traditional header setup (like on most cars there's a 4-2-1 or 3-2-1 setup)

IMHO OBX is usually kinda cheap; not sure if i'd go with them =/

Also... is your warranty gone? If it is currently still active then installing this setup may void it. The TL uses 3 catalytic converters and a pretty complex emissions system; modifying the catalytic converter or exhaust system (possibly with the exception of axle or catback systems) could void the emissions warranty or the warranty on the entire power train.. no mod is worth doing that!

Word on the street is latest V6 Accords have the same flanges coming off the heads although I haven't seen anyone who has actually tried them.

But you are probably right, warranty is out the window if something fails and can be directly blamed on the aftermarket part.

No my warrenty is up. So if I did get this do you know what kind of highflow cat I would need? It sounds like if i did that it would be just lke e-shirt. Or just what do you think are the best highflow cats for the 3rd cat also?

I'd probably go with the e-shift cats and not worry about the OBX stuff.. it should be fine for factory setups
