It's getting pretty hot out and underhood temps should be high, so i was looking at modifying the windshield cowling but wanted a bit of a cleaner look if possible than cutting holes. Saw this on my friends old sl 500 and have been trying to find a good material like it to help with the Ultimate Cooling Mod.
most of what i found is small round perforated mesh and probably won't look as nice but i'm sure some guys on here have solutions they've come up with. All input is welcome

 

Looks good! May be a little hard to work with that material to bend it around the windshield washer nozzles if you're looking at keeping them. I'm sure if you could find it at a auto materials supply shop.
