Hey guys... why does my engine sound so wimp? I rev it at the line, and it dosen't sound loud. i know acuras are for luxery, and a loud engine isnt appealing to the target audience, but this is ridiculous...

it cant be the shrouds can it? they wouldnt filter out THAT much noise... its completely stock... any suggestions?

 

Are you talking about noise from the actual engine itself? I don't think there are any mods thay would make the engine sound louder. You could get an intake or exhaust that would effectively make your TL sound better, but the engine would remain to be same.

Generally when an engine is making too much noise, it probably means it's about to break. Unless you are talking about those American muscle cars, but most of the sound you hear is from the exhaust anyways.

 

Nuetral > Gas Pedal > Down = noise...

It's because your stock.

 

Change the exhaust. That's where the noise is coming from. Check out the "Remove resonator" thread or search for "Magnaflow exhaust" or "Comptech exhaust".

 

time to get an intake, Injen or AEM, and delete the mid muffler

 

grrr idk... and i dont wanna void warranty (if it does) and ahh... idk im a newb!

Yeah, the AEM CAI makes the TL's engine sound like a freakin V8
