What are you talking about? Your asking like that is a "common" thing to do in these cars? Who's done this other than the guy who swapped out his 3.2 to a 3.5 (which since it's a different engine would not make any sense to compare)?

If you look closely, they're some people who's done this.I found at least 3 or 4. I was just curious to ask.

NVA-AV6 is polishing and port
matching the heads and lower intake
on my 05 Accord 6MT's engine build.
(among other things...)

I would have thought the engine
would become more efficient not
affecting or even increasing mpg.

Using the stock ECM I expect
a small decrease because of the extra
fuel supplied for the extra half liter
displacement.

The efficiency will be apparent on
the dyno.

Hmmm, OK then why didn't you just PM them directly rather than throwing it out on the forum? trying to run up your post count?

Dude, calm down. It's a valid question, and he got a valid response. Nuff said.

I can say that on our race car- after porting and polishing on a different motor:

we could run dual 48 weber sidedrafts and got about 6 mpg- we calculated laps per gallon, also known as- can I make it to the next yellow or do I run out on the back stretch---far far away from help

During normal driving I doubt it will hurt gas mileage at all. At WOT, you can now use the extra air provided by the ported heads so mileage might be a little lower. For what it's worth, on my other car with ported heads and a ton of other mods gas mileage on the freeway is better than stock.
