I have rv6 j pipes w 3rd cat delete and catdeletes and.just removed 3rd muffler, its def raspy around 3k rpm, im gonna add a dynomax resonator to see if I can get rid of the rasp, the same day I did the ghetto intake resonator removal, on my drive home I got about 1 to 2 mpg better highway and has better throttle response, its def a good cheap mod when.ur on a budget

so shark breath does it effect gas mileage with a intake resonator, mid muffler delete plus a resonator delete with a dynomax resonator replacement?

ok sorry to revive a dead thread but i just got my TL-s a month ago from the dealership and want to do a mid muffler delete, i took out my intake resonator a couple days ago and was happy with the result but not perfect yet, being in the south florida area u gotta step up your car game or get left behind so i wanted to ask for most people does the mid muffler delete really prove satisfactory because i just came from and impreza with that addictive backfire sound and am loving this tl-s as a daily, even thought its financed i want to get the mid muffler delete but want to be ready to put it back on just in case it needs to be sent to the dealership little on the fence about it

if you get a mid-muffler delete, you will have to add a straight pipe. So the process is reversible, but requires breaking the welds and re welding

should’ve started with deleting the rear mufflers first. Deleting mid muffler and resonator will barely give a sound increase but will for sure give rasp

but wouldnt deleting the rear mufflers just make useless noise when u go around 4k revs ? like i removed my intake resonator and the car is quiet when it needs to be with a little too much dronning on a cold start in my opinion but when i hit the gas around 5k revs its a deep push, so when it comes to this car i feel like if u want a better sound without too much rasp/dronning you'd need to opt for a whole different exhaust like something from endlessrpm
