hey guys, i have a question. so ill be getting this exhaust, and yes i am extremely happy that we fought for this batch. So by installing the ATLP which make ur car fair out air easier, does this means lower MPG? because Someone told me that better airflow does not mean better MPG.

Nice to see that Mike is getting another beautiful set of exhaust for you guys. My rear aspec lip is arriving tomorrow so I will post pictures in my thread of us cutting my base rear bumer to fit the lip. 283 shipped is a pretty good deal considering it was 320 from the local dealer. I know you can get plenty of guys to get a group buy. Good luck and check my thread out tomorrow night.

Since a lot of you guys on here are in need of pictures to see what is involved in getting the Type-S skirt on the base TL bumper, I decided to do a DIY for ya.

lol...I'm in for the a-spec lip but i have an off-topic comment too tell you guys!
-last night i was rolling on the 118 freeway with my bro and his TSX and this 15 psi turbo charged Chevy Cobalt stepped up too me! Due too its turbo and really loud blow of valve i thought i wouldn't have a chance.Long story short...I owned his a** with his girlfriend in the car! hahaha...I guess my TL was proving that it deserves the ATLP Exhaust!

You guys like the flat tips? I'm not a fan. I was part of the last batch and decided when I install the exhaust this weekend...to have Kooks hack off the tips and weld some angled ones on. Have it look stock. Anybody want my my tips?

^ Not a fan of your idea, but that's personal preference. If I were you, I'd talk with Mike before hacking the tips just because he could give you better feedback as to how well your plan will actually work. A better option would be to see if you could get a set of mufflers off of him that don't have tips welded on yet (the atlp base exhaust uses the same mufflers and he may be able to set aside a set during the upcoming run of these). That way you could do what you are proposing much more cleanly. Not to mention that you could easily sell the mufflers w/ tips to somebody that actually wants these.

IMO, the tips are what makes the ATLP Quad THE ATLP Quad. There is so much attention to detail on these tips, they're amazing! If you don't like the tips, i'd do what jweb suggested. Speak with Mike about exchanging them out for mufflers without any tips welded on. That'll be a much better option than hacking them off.

What a waste of a great thing. If you want stock, keep your oem exhaust and mod it for the level of sound you want. It's your car but man, this exhaust is perfect the way it is......

I'm really surprised you guys like the straight cut tips. I think they are ugly. And, I love the rest of the ATLP set-up too much to leave my in my oem exhaust. It's too good not to have. 2 1/2 mandrel-bent piping, the mufflers are top-notch. Sorry, I just prefer the stock tips I guess.
