Ultimate Braking rotors

Well, this morning I heard my brakes squeal for the first time. I have about 25k miles and still on original brake pads and rotors. May be time to start shopping around. As far as pads are concerned I'm gonna get the CMAX Gold ceramics. But still up in the air for rotors. I did a Google search and came across these:

http://stores.brakeplanet.com/Items/...Brake%20Rotors

Can anyone tell me if these are any good?

What he said. Best place to get them, cheap. And they work great, Josh won't steer you wrong.

Ultimate, Rotora, Centric, Stoptech, Power Slot, Power Stop blah blah

I swear if they could put rotors in copy machines they would. It is almost that bad.

I've been thinking about a new set as well, but from my understanding, Type S models have Brembo's correct? If so, would it not be possible to upgrade to slotted or cross drilled Brembo's?

I'm positive the prices will be overkill compared to what Excelerate can offer, however.

I don't know about performance. But for the 6mt the only full set of matching front and rear rotors that I've seen are Rotora from excelerate. I am planning on getting these sometime.

Racingbrake has front and rear, as well as stoptech.

Marcus,
I would like to discuss a door sill installation that we attempted to accomplish today.
What's your PM address?
Thanks.

The RB rotors for the brembo application are significantly more expensive than the non if I remember correctly. Is there a specific reason for this, other than just being for the "brembos"?

Another vote for RB and Stoptech, best quality and bang for your money when it comes to serious brakes IMHO.

Try Powerstop rotors. Ive had them on my v6 accord and I am installing on my 06 TL tomorow (thursday) their very well priced and amazing. Just put them on my girlfriends mazda 3 and their unbelivable. I have had brembo's before and their very comparable, but cheaper, as brembo's are overpriced.

Its unbelievable that they'd really be that unbelievable really. If the braking is better it has a lot more to do with the pads and the caliper design on the car. What pads are they?

Racing brake 2 piece with ET500 pads. Great stopping. Pedal feel is good too.

ROTORA and STOPTECH both are of very high quality. They start with premium discs and then machine them in house for either slotted or drilled/slotted. They are much less prone to warpage than OE and work with OE calipers.

I'm in the same situation...actually only have 25% left on my brakes...

I'm going to upgrade to Rotora Slotted Rotors from and rear and H2 Ceramic Pads from XLR8 in about a month of so. I have the M/T so will need the brembo replacements...

From what I've read on this site, i'm sold on the Rotora...

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure rotora, power stop, power slot, stoptech all use the same manufacturer (centric) for the blanks. The Racing Brake front rotor are 2 piece rotors which is why they are much more expensive.

You guys really should be focusing on pads, not rotors especially slotted and drilled rotors. Slotted and drilled rotors work on cars made them. Using replacement slotted/drilled will almost ALWAYS result in worse braking performance. It's pretty much a borderline ricer mod (ie all image, reduced performance).

Sure...if you use them. I have friends that use there slotted and drilled rotors to the fullest....stopping from 180 with stock rotors not a fun thing to try. Anyway I find slotted/drilled useless for street. Slotted is plenty for most people on the street with spiritied driving or HPDE.

I can get the Rotora slotted rotors and ceramic pads locally, but the guy I deal with doesn't deal with RacingBrake so if I were to get the RB pads I'd order those from the states. I'm not sure if that's a good combination though, RB pads and Rotora rotors, I was hoping some people who may have experienced such a combo would offer some advise, otherwise I'll just stick with the Rotora pads and rotors.
I wonder how the ceramic pads react in winter? I mean a real winter not winter in Florida
