Thats an interesting idea...

However the TL-S has slightly larger intake valves which are lifted higher then those in the base TL. Im not an expert on adaptations but it seems unlikely due to this fact. Also Acura would make you pay out the nose for one too. The base TL cam is already pretty sweet IMO.

fits right in. no mods necessary. however you have to be very brave or very good to put them in yourself. the cam slides into the head. unlike hondas/acuras previous designs where you could just take off the cam caps. i had a machine shop do mine. they also reseated my valves at the same time. i don't know how much power if any i netted from the swap, because i did all my mods at the same time when my car was down.

i'm sure it would make some kind of difference as the cams are hollow. less weight/more rev?

i have access to a dyno, i just never got around to doing it. i was going to wait until i got all of richies exhaust parts, then dyno the finished product. that should be the last of the mods unless i install a voltage/ground stabilizer. i'm curious too, so i may buy a gtech just for an approximate hp value.

You should put down strong numbers. I've toyed with the idea of doing the Sun voltage/ground system after my exhaust mods are complete. I wouldn't waste your money on the G-Tech unit!

i was actually going to get the apex'i version of the voltage/ground stabilizer. i'm kinda partial to the apex'i line. i've used their products in all my cars, and i've never had a problem. plus it looks cooler. i'm definitely not knocking sun. they make great shit too. i just prefer apex'i. maybe i'll get it dyno'd before summer. it's kinda warm right now, so the numbers would be more ideal (practical?) than if i were to do it when its cooler.

i'm hoping for just under 300 to the wheels...

i was going to dyno mine's after i get the jpipe in and the 3rd cat delete from ATLP which should be here by the end of the month ( i hope). Then i was going to put the cams in and then dyno again, hope i get some good numbers back from that. i will post the dyno charts as i go...

that would be good. a before and after with the cams. then we could see if i really spent my money well or not. since we're talking about cams, just to let ya'll know, webcam has a grind profile for our car. 600 bucks and about 6-8 weeks last i checked. i'm betting those would make more power. i didn't get them due to time constraints. but maybe you guys might be interested.

i put type-s cams in when i put in my procats n custom intake valves so i couldn't tell you how much gains i got off the cams alone. but there are ppl on the accord forums who have done this with noticeable gains. while you're in there you can do a port n polish of the heads also.

What mods did you do to your car?

Look at post #4 signature. It gives some idea of what he had.

What was I smoking in 2008? Was I really considering a Sun voltage system?
