Tsudo HFPCs

It’s been a while since I have posted anything on the site, but I wanted to share my experience with these parts. I’m always searching for every question. I have about my car on this site so I hope this is helpful for anyone who’s considering these parts.

A couple weeks ago, I ran over something hard. It happened so quick, but I think it was a brick or a cinder block. I also noticed that I had an exhaust leak because of the smell inside the cabin. I took it to my mechanic and funny enough. There’s no leak coming from the bottom of the car, although there is a pretty good dent on the J pipe. We narrowed it down to a leak coming from where my PCD connects to the back of the motor. The only way to know for sure is for him to take it apart, and I figured it would be best to have new parts to go on just in case. Hopefully, everything is fine and something is just knocked out of place but either way I’ve been wanting to try high flow cats so they are going on regardless and I have to pay labor. I’ve had full bolt ons for about 3 years, so I should be able to recognize the differences in sound or perceivable performance if there is any.

Got the car back this afternoon. Got to drive around a bit since I do deliveries on some evenings. When I first started it, I noticed immediately that the car was definitely quieter. I also noticed that there was virtually no rasp now even when really revving it out. I was driving pretty conservatively evening so I don’t really know if it feels any different in terms of performance. Honestly, just driving around town it felt pretty much the same. I have had a pretty bad drone in the cabin around 2k-3k RPMs. I can’t say that this eliminated it but to me it was a pretty noticeable difference. This has been my favorite part about it so far. I have a quite a bit of driving to do over the next couple weeks or so I’ll post an update if anything changes.

In regards to the repair, turns out all I did was knock the PCD out of place and the gaskets were pretty much toast from being on the car so long. My mechanic did have to repair some threads on the studs that come from the engine, but the actual PCD is fine. So I’ll be posting those for sale this week.
