How to dispose of computer parts?
How to dispose of computer parts?
I've looked into this and done this recycling thing a couple times for the company I work for, but the places I take stuff too only take "lightly used" equipment. This kinda makes it hard for me to get rid of the stuff I have at home. I get every last bit of life out of any hardware I have, and when it dies it's really freaking dead.
So, I have a small stack of very used computer parts I wish to get rid of, but really don't feel like throwing heavy metals in the waste bin. The cases I figure are just galvanized steel and I can put them in with the automotive scrap. The Pima county website only lists non profit businesses that do the trading and swapping thing (as far as I can tell). Anybody know what it would cost to get rid of this junk?

I can't help you with any specifics, but I know it's pretty common for a lot of municipal organizations to have household hazardous waste disposal days once or twice per year. You may want to try making some phone calls under this broader premise rather than "computer parts."
