Tsudo CatBack

Is anyone here running the Tsudo catback setup? Wasn't aware they made a system for the 3rd Gen TL Base only. $479.95 shipped. Not a bad deal, wish quads was an option.

Here's fleabay link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-05...=p4506.c0.m245

Wow. Mandrel bends, 2.5" piping, nice tips, even a resonator. I like what I see.

Good find OP.

When I found this I was shocked at the price, I figure that price would be just for axle backs. I may pick this up not sure how tips will look with aspec rear lip though.

Honestly guys... The only issue I have w/ this exhaust is the mufflers... I question their longevity... Meaning its quiete now, but after a year of heat... I doubt it.. It'll start sounding like straight pipe....

BUT if you guys are spending $500 and plan to swap the mufflers... Then this is a bargain among bargain since ur pretty much getting the mandrel bends and flanges...

That's an awesome kit for the base rear bumper.. that price is pretty nuts for a bolt on catback. Sounds pretty good too!

Tsudo offers lifetime warranty on any manufacturer's defects (weld cracks, rust, etc) as long as there is no road hazard/external/etc damage.
The mufflers will not get louder. There's no proof these mufflers will "start sounding like a straight pipe" within a year. If anything, check the 99-03 TL axleback users, their axleback systems uses the same mufflers. I had a Tsudo catback for over two years and the sound never changed.

^^Thanks, great info. I'm planning to get an exhaust system soon. I was considering CT and XLR8 (non-res). For the Tsudo system price, I might get a J-Pipe also w the same budget, or a couple of $$ more.

Check other forums, people that have actually purchased Tsudo systems know the welds are excellent. Tsudo is not for customers that are going to worry about people looking under their car to see what brand their exhaust is. It's an affordable, high quality exhaust with a warranty.
ludachrisvt please post some pictures of the defective welds.

this is going to break:

It's not even a question of if, but when. It looks just like every ebay system. Made in china with super weak welds. Look how the RV6 v1 precats failed. Same welds with similar materials.

BUT, if they give you a warantee, who cares right?

I mean just look at that. Look how aweful that is going to flow. I guess it's better flowing than stock? If you are short on $ then sure, go for it.

yea, that is pretty shitty..... other than that and the missing mid-muffler, this looks very similar to the CT engineering exhaust

The only thing really going for this setup is a shop will straight pipe & split for at least $100.. Magnaflow mufflers & tips are pricey depending on where you buy them from.. so those alone can be $300-500 a pair + ~$50 for the resonator.. so it still seems like a good deal.

i dont know much about welds.. but I know that if they do break.. it wouldnt cost more then 50.00 bux at a muffler shop for them to fix the welds.. So still a great price.. also, these look classier then the greddy.. and i doubt that the HP gains are not that much less then other exhausts out there.. I mean how could it be? Since exhausts on our cars only have minimal gains lol .. i think that this mod is more for looks and sound then performance..

who wants to go through re-repairing exhaust? Look, you get what you pay for.

Does that mean you have to buy $1200 ATLP exhaust? No. All it means is, expect problems. If you don't have any then you'll be happy. If you do run into some, then you knew what to expect and can't be mad.

Yay!

well.. all i know is that i have had probably 30 exhausts in my lifetime.. that were aftermarket.. i have had everything from custom exhaust, to 3k and up exhausts , to exhausts that were bought from ebay..not one .. NOT ONE ever failed me.. maybe it is because I live in florida? I dunno.. but i dont see this falling apart.. Kinda like rota wheels.. every one hates them.. but i have never had a problem with them!

$400 shipped is not a bad deal, still enough money left over to get the Y Pipe redone.

So, for $400 this is a no brainer.

WITH FREE SHIPPING AND NO TAX. WTF? Why not. I feel like buying just because.

lol.. for a full catback that's pretty low but I'm cheap so I'm just going to polish my stock tips again.. plus next year I may grab the bolt on turbo kit which would require 3" back.. I already have an exhaust mapped out.. 3" downpipe to a split 2 x 2.5" resonated pipes.. haven't decided on the race muffler / tips.. should be pretty sweet though.

just curious on which of you 3 are automotive engineers that are such great prodigys that by just looking at a small sample photo, you can tell exactly the dynamics, performance, quality, and longevity of the muffler.

amazing skills guys
