get a gen2 TL and drop a CL-S motor and 6speed in it for another 3 grand or so.
Or learn to appreciate Sport Shift as being way better than a MT car
Use it in D5 driving normal and be able to control shifting as desired on backroads~
Plus the AT cars have rev limiters and wont let you blow the engine on a missed shift-downshift
Many gen3s have experienced that and its $2800 damage to the engine- not warranty

its possible, depending on the driver since the 2nd gen is lighter than the 3rd gen. But TL-S vs. TL-S and the 3rd gen wins.
regarding the swap, it's possible. BUT you will be spending in excess of 4K and also will need to tear apart the car down to the frame, literally. As well you will be missing out on some 6spd only items such as the brembo brakes, suspension, RSB and a few other things.

alright thanx
I didnt think about the 4cy and 6cy making a difference but thanx. So I might stay with the sport shift awhile and see how that goes if I decide to get this car the only drawback I see is the fwd and the s2k and g35 has rwd, and can get them rather cheaper or same price as a used tl so debating right now what i wanna do

ok
Well I got a 06 wrx so its good enough for me as far as speed but not sure if a 2nd car id want something slow aka acura tl ive been reading to turbo a acura tl would cost about 10k and be bad as it is high compression and wasnt meant for that...Any ideas on if any of this is true?If I got the acura tl it be a project car and my wrx be my everyday driver as im not big on fwd...

well if the driver knows how to drive MT then blowing the engine will not be an issue.
btw if youre really planning on beating on the car that bad, get a sports coupe.

first off, is the s2k going to be your only car? you may want to rethink that one. Yea, its a car that you just fall in love with, but its terrible in the snow (only tried once and never will again) and there is absolutley no room in that thing. Even passengers complain about how crampt it is. The trunk is crazy small. Youll also get lip from all the haters about how its still just a honda, some even dare to say 'nice miata,' so annoying.
If you are looking for an everyday car, I would say Id go with the TL. The engine is so much torque-ier so you dont have to upshift 1-2 times just to accelerate like in the s2k. The interior is a world of difference....nav, heated seats, awesome sound system, autoclimate, etc etc. s2k is just barebones, so not a good DD. Good for the weekends when you can put the top down. The car is no fun to drive with the top up, so many blind spots.
However, if you do already have a DD then i'd say go for it. Car is a blast to drive, but not really all that fast compared to other sports cars and also compared to the TL. Its slow off the line until you hit vtec, then the fun starts .
My payments are 59/month with the TL and 90/month for the honda btw.
