Too much resonator?

Is it possible to have too large of a resonator? What does the exhaust sound like if you double the size of a resonator on a system that already sounds good (no rasp)? Does it just continue to get deeper in tone, level out without further improvement, or turn a corner and start to sound worse? Thanks.

it just gets quieter. If you have drone it won't get rid of it. I have a magnaflow catback and added another resonator. At 2300-2500 it still drones... But I have a 6mt so I drive above that.

I hope that helps

A true resonator has no packing so it doesn't absorb sound. It's intended to cancel out certain frequencies by bouncing sound inside the chamber.

I'm going through a expensive exercise right now before I read up on resonators. I have two AR30's right now and have no drone, but it's too loud.

My previous catback I had just a large muffler and the two out back.

With my current setup of two AR30's and a pair of Aero Turbines, I am going to replace them with a large muffler in the middle and the standard oval in the rear, all magnaflow.
