TLS cam in TL

I did some searching and read about the tl-s cam in the 3.2 tl.
I saw that a few of you have done it, and put 2lb stiffer springs in. Is there anything else that I would need to do?
And is 10-15hp gain reasonable?
How much should all this run price wise?

I knew someone that had a s/c. He did type s cams - titanium rods and forged pistons. Dont quote me but I heard he can boost alot and made his engine a lot stronger. cost about 3500 with labor (2k worth of parts).

Not sure about the 2lb stiffer springs. That wouldn't be worth the trouble or the money.

TL-S cams would do what any larger cam would do. Shift the powerband slightly higher.

To do it right and take advantage a higher revlimiter, stiffer springs with aftermarket keepers and retainers would be required. But you should see some of the benefits with just the cams.

10-15hp is wishful thinking especially with the stock redline.

I've done this mod and there are definitely gains to be had.

Check out this awesome thread, its packed with all the information on any head upgrades:
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-performance-parts-modifications-112/finally-forged-pistons-springs-retainers-race-camshafts-our-cars-753881/

P.S. The type-S exhaust springs are the only ones that are stiffer from what i remember. I don't remember the spring rating on them, 2lbs or not, but if you get these make sure they are the more expensive (stiffer) ones.
