Time for a necessary mod: brakes

I'm running EBC red with stock rotors right now and they recently started making a strange grinding noise. My rotors are pretty chewed up from the pads (grooved) so I figure I'd get some slotted ones while I pick up some new pads.

After doing some research and speaking to some people, this is what I've come up with. I drive a 5AT BTW.

Rotors:
Rotora slotted ~$360
RB 1pc slotted ~$380

Pads:
Rotora H2 ~$135
RB ET500 ~$210

I'm leaning towards the full Rotora set up because I don't think I need the "best" set up. I wouldn't fully utilize an amazing set up anyway.

This is just a nice upgrade from OEM.

What do you guys think?

Anyone know if Project Mu makes pads that fit our car? I've been told they work well.

I have the rotora slotted with pads in front. They are great, no noise, low dust and of course much better stopping. If and when I need brakes I would certainly buy them again.

Remember to use promo code AZ ROTORA when checking prices on the web store. It discounts the price for the ROTORA rotors.

Exactly what I'm looking at getting later this year, although I might cheap out and just get OEM/OEM replacements (the TL is as good as gone, just need some time to pass). Also, no need for the ET500's unless you track/autoX your car a lot...was going to mention that earlier.

Just price it on Heeltoe. Its cheaper than XLR8.

I'm just gonna use the Honda fluid... no need for Motul.

why not cross drilled/slotted Brembos, and brembo stock pads....you will never get a better set up....

speaking of EBC... green stuff is the easiers on ur stock rotors, and red just completely destroys them....ur stock rotors are soft...which is why breaking is so great on the car with the brembo setup...both rotors and pads are soft and they bite instantly... EBC needs to heat up before it bites...always with a delay...and they're not the right pads for stock rotors......

i dont know about all these new names...rotoras and blah blah blah....one of those "back yard" manufacturers.....

either Brembo, or try Disk Italia <<$370 for front only...cross drilled and slotted.... incredibly amazing

I'm not a fan of drilled / slotted rotors.

Have you tried Rotora and other "back yard" brands? I hear they are pretty decent.

no i haven't, and i dont think i will.

not a fan of drilled/slotted? how so? u just dont like how they look? or u dont like what they offer? if u only like plain rotors....nothings gonna beat the stock brembo rotor. they wear out quick for a reason, and thats cause theyre soft, which makes them very biteable

Well I don't track my car so I don't need anything extreme. Its just a DD... getting the BEST setup possible is a waste of money, IMO.

Not a fan of the drilled/slotted look. I understand their purpose but like I said, I don't need em.

So I installed everything but the SS brake lines...

MAAAAAAN everything feels great!! Stopping power is pretty impressive... waiting to really give them a test soon.

So far, I'm very happy with my RB setup.

Sick. I wish they filled the well more but I guess you get what you pay for. BBK would be nice but totally overkill.
