Time for a clutch, what are you running? '08 TLS

The clutch is on its way out and I wanna upgrade. My goal this year mods wise is to get the car to 400hp. I'm planning on auto crossing this year and drive it on weekends with occasional distance trips to Texas. So I'm looking at a performance setup that's "street/strip" friendly. I've looked on xlr8 and heeltoe and now just wanna hear what you guys are running. Pros and cons and such.

Here's my thread with the XLR8 DD package.

You don't need that much power for Autox, This is coming from someone who uses/used their TL to AutoX and to Ice RallyX. Get a street/comp clutch that can handle your future plans but understand the trade offs that come with a High Performance Clutch and a High Hp FWD drive.

400HP is Rotrex or Turbocharged built motor status.

400 is built f.i.? Tb motorworx is running over 500 hp on their j swapped integra. Yes its purely drag and a copius amount of work but can be done. Granted goals generally start and end as dreams once reality sets in. My main goal started as 13 second 1/4's. High or low idc, a 13 is a 13. The 400 was my goal since generically the tls had 287hp factory so getting 113 hp more wouldn't be that hard. Granted it's not Legos but the gain of power is just like any other car. It comes down to flow rates.

Any other suggestionson clutches?

It's a lofty project to hit the 400WHP goal for all motor. I am just saying boost will get you there quicker. You will be able to get into the 13's. Checkout anx1000c signature! You have a leg up too being a TLS. Evan's tuning is using a twin clutch setup. The Evans Tuning J-Series V6 Integra

Bish225, you'd better have deep pockets and a lot of patience to want to hit 400whp NA. The TL-S puts out 286hp at the crank. That's like 260 at the wheels. So you'd have to gain ~140hp. The problem also is that the power won't come until very high in the rpm band.

400hp from a 3.5L v6 =/= say, 400hp from a 4.0L v8.

I'm not saying it can't be done, but it seems your goal is a bit random ("I want 400hp"). I'd say go FI, but it seems plenty of guys have destroyed their blocks with turboing the J35. Not sure about supercharging though. It might be more reliable. The whine of a SC is badass also.

Either way, man, just make sure you do a lot of homework and spend your money wisely. I'm hoping you come forward with a cool build

Yeah definitely been doing my homework. 400 isn't a solid number. I know it's a steep order but with my back round I can do a lot myself. Going from a 13 second h22 swapped accord to the tls has been kinda disheartening cause I know it can do more and be more it's just getting it there. Since the clutch is out this is were I'm beginning. Thanks for the words of wisdom and guidance. So any other setups that people like or dont? I'm leaning towards the xlr8. I had a clutch masters in my accord and it wasn't bad but the pressure plate came unsprung and wouldn't release after 15k, on it. So I'm hesitant to go back.

Someone has to have dyno'd a stock type s...I'd be shocked if there was only a 26 hp drop through the drivetrain.

Holy crap, I'm surprised!
That's pretty awesome, so no matter what, it's 30HP more over base...
