Throttle Body Spacer

Let's start with the obvious question... do these even work? If so what would the power gain be realistically? I have seen two sides to these, some people buy them and swear up and down that it made a difference, and some people buy them and curse out the company cause they see no difference.

For those that have tried this what does the gain look/feel like? Any actual statistics? Or do you feel cheated like you wasted money.

Finally for those of you who feel a gain what brand did you buy?

Dont waste your money.

the high performance N/A builds (320-350wheel horsepower) are not using one.

they use
- 3.7 TL manifold and throttlebody
-ported runners
-cams
-Pcds
-jpipes
-cat back exhaust
and lastly a tune.

The "concept" behind this is a barrier to prevent engine heat sink into the throttle body, thus keeping incoming air cooler. The cooler the air, the more dense and so more power. The problem is that your engine is all contained UNDER your hood, which eventually builds up heat, so this defeats the entire purpose of the heat barrier! Your better off spending your money on a good CAI

Not really. It depends on the kind of spacer. Some are there to help mix air and fuel, and some are made to lengthen the intake track which allows for higher air velocity.

What you are talking about are gaskets, which they do make however as you stated since everything is under the hood the only good the gasket does is slow a process down. Even if it kept everything 10-20 degrees cooler, you would see much increase in power.
