from all i have been reading 500 lbs = .5 sec off the 1/4 mile lols
lol so according to this site
http://www.zeroto60times.com/Acura-0-60-mph-Times.html
we run 1/4 mile in 14.24 (manual base)
(auto base)14.4

does that mean were touching high 13's swoosh ? lols

i weigh only 130 in a couple weeks going to head to san jose for a dyno then go to the weigh station lols.

^^^ I know Jeremy had posted some link to a website....what you could do there is say you have 300HP and weigh 3600 and calculate your time and do the same for 3500lbs and see the difference

as your HP goes up the weight loss becomes more effective....as you have more HP/TQ for less weight.....

imagine a 300TQ car and it weighs 3000lbs so you have 1TQ per 10lbs....
you do weight loss and it weighs 2700lbs so you have 1TQ per 9lbs....so you become faster....
now if you bump up your HP/TQ to say 350 and still weight 2700lbs you have 1TQ per 7.7lbs !!! and if you DID NOT do weight loss you would be at 1TQ per 8.5lbs....

what am trying to get at is as your HP/TQ goes higher the weight loss becomes more effective !!!

@Callahan: you are a smart man Sir....well with all the stuff I sold and the new stuff i got, i spend like 500 bucks for EVERYTHING which IMO is not bad at all....i wanted to jump on the ISC coilovers but didnt want to risk the wifey saying anything and hence held back....let me know when you are ready to get the seats....maybe she will offer the same pricing to you as she did to me

@Morgan @ your Avy man !!! i wanna go back and find the post where Jeremy said he wants to play with his "asparagus" looking @ your avy

@Justn how did you say you got them crabs ?

@Jeremy I am awake brethren, but sitting on my work desk....i might take off at 3-ish and start working on the interiors.....

@Tim that is hilarious....did he really do what i think he did LOL....

If you mean coilovers....... then make very sure that you don't read my post in my diet thread in a few days (Mon or Tue maybe). The whole post is just about praising the awesomeness of the radical diet combined with a stiff suspension.

so here is what i did today !!!

got home from work and started working on the interiors....took the center console, cup holders, the small storage areas off.....took the radio and the HVAC controls and display out....

took the glove out but i think that is gonna go back in....sorry Tim.....but i got a surprise for you later on

so this is how the inside looks like for right now:

and this is what came in today:

NRG 12lb seats....they came with all the hardware i mean everything....also the racing harness came in....i didnot order the seat brackets as they seemed to be heavy and beat the whole purpose of getting very light weight seats.....the harness is a 4 point 2" cam lock !!!

thanks babe for holding the harness up !!! (wifey is hiding behind the seat )

asked the wifey to sit in the seat and her exact words were "these are comfy !!! i like em" !!!

also what came in was the 11.5lb battery....
redline 5w-20 oil 1 gallon....i have 1quart of 5w-30 sitting in my storage !!!
also what you see is 6 of the 2"x25' heat wrap for the exhaust....i ordered couple extra for Aaron (sharky)....also SS tie locks came in !!!

anyway, going to leave you here with a little something am working on:

QUESTION: I do not like chrome !!! so how to you suggest I paint the silver/chrome adjusters on the racing harness ?

your wife will notice the difference man visual more than anything !!!

and yeah she sat in it and said "we can put them in your man cave when we buy a house....i was like "umm the stock seats are gonna go in the man cave baby, these are going in the car "

let me remind you all once again, these seats are not FIA homologlated !!!!so buy on your own risk !!!

that being said, both seats + holders + racing harness + shipping....i mean every everything was $450

so i have 2 questions:

1> I do not like chrome !!! so how to you suggest I paint the silver/chrome adjusters on the racing harness to black ?
2> I have disconnected and removed my battery as I do not have the manifold/runners/TB/Intake in my engine bay, so how do I move my seats back to access the bolts to the seat to pop them off ? any ideas ???

1) Remove and have them powdercoated? The tangs that go into the lock probably wont like the added thickness of the coating though, plus it might wear off.
2) Ummmm. Reconnect the battery for 5 minutes?

1) I highly recommend leaving it "as is". Anything you do will (assuming DIY) will chip or flake. That is gonna look a lot worse.

2) You can't reach the nuts with an open-ended 12mm wrench? If not, then you have no choice but to set the battery back in there to operate the seats. Be very careful. You do know that a car battery can become an arc welder and *quickly* melt a hole in the sheetmetal where it shorts to ground, right?

He removed the tray. So, there is no place to sit the battery.

The seats looks great Anil

Funny, my wife said the same thing about my seats too. I think most people just assume that racing seats are uncomfortable because of the lack of padding. But the contour shape of the seat more than makes-up for the lack of cushioning. Knowing what I know now, I would much rather pick a seat that is contoured versus a seat with a lot of cushioning.

I am definitely looking forward to the install. Take a lot of pics
