i noticed you still have the stock resonator on there, do you think with that replaced with a straight pipe would pose any possible performance? or how bout switching out the OEM mufflers also?

I think i will keep my resonator(OEM) or change another one,I have a exhaust cutout right now and the resonator quiet down exhaust alot i used to have my cutout b4 the resonator(after 3rd cats) and it get really really loud(sound like a F1),there is a guy with a AV6 MT got 252whp just AEM V2 and the header so i guess i will go for a try but i havent got any idea what kind of setup im going to do cause I want my a system is like my current setup I want loud I just open the cutout if i want quiet I just close it,and here is few setup i have it in my mind
1.OBX header + high flow cat @ the 3rd cat location + one muffler in the middle and two stright pipe to the tips, kind of DMS style cause I want have two exhaust tips out(look better) but it will get really loud.
2.OBX header + high flow cat @ the 3rd cat location and keep the stock resonator than two muffler at the back.
3.OBX header + high flow cat @ the 3rd cat location single exhaust maybe a spoon, mugen or toda muffler and I will put the cutout in front of the muffler so I still can control the volume just like the vette have four butterfly valve.
all setup with 2.5inch piping, with o2 simlator so the check engine light won't trun on.
I just quit my job recently so probably the project with move back to sept. or Oct. but I will give you guy update once Im done.
btw my english is suck so hope you guy understand.
Thanks

you will need to bring the header to some muffler shop to custom fit for you cause the guy I got it from he said is about 3.5inch off from the header, and he say he pay $300 just for the custom fit,and he also said it only have little gain but I guess I still going to try it.

btw if anyone of you want to replace you 3rd cat to high fow cat,I recommend to just change it to stright and there nothing to worry about engine check light wont turn on and smog just bring it to a muffler shop to make a pipe with flange so you can replace your OE 3rd cat back on while you need to do smog,3rd cat remove will give you very little gain(I assume 2-3whp gain) but you could feel it.
and sorry to high jack the thread

this might be alittle off topic, but here it goes.
i currently have my mid-muffler and resonator removed. i was wondering if anyone has removed all three mufflers and replaced it with straight pipe. i was thinking of doing so and welding the tips onto the straight pipe at the end. all done by a proffessional shop. i heard it coud sound good from some of my car enthusiast buddies, but then again i do live in the south....

That would be loud as hell. I was around when someone did that to their Probe GT back in the day, and it was so loud the guy had to wear earplugs in the car.
You might as well remove the radio too.

haha well down here its all about the loudness. but see i don't want to ruin the look of a car with a highly raspy exhaust note. so im going to either replace the resonator, or the shop said they could place a glasspac to funtion as one. i don't know which to do. btw if i dont like the note the shop is a authorized flowmaster dealer ad said they could build me a custom cat-back exhaust.

I have the CompTech axle back system (mufflers) and I am planning on removing the resonator and mid-muffler once I find a place that can bend stainless. I would recommend getting some good aftermarket mufflers (Greddy, CompTech, etc) and then removing all the intermediate parts. It should be louder, but still have a good sound from the good mufflers.

just did the mod, im pretty happy. at first they let me hear it revved with no mufflers but still the cats and i can safely say it sounded like a drag car roaring, no rasp at all suprisingly. then i got a glass pack installed were my mid muffler used to be. sounds amazing, atleast to me. its a really low note kinda reminds me of an sti. the only complaint, which doesn't bother me is alittle drone in the cabin due to the glass pack's location right under the mid section of the car. i will try to get a video up to give you a better idea.
