Supercharger....
hey all...well im puttin a Comptech SC in my car next week.
I was just wondering who else is runing a charger, and for how long they've had it in for..also, had there been any problems or fixes that have come along with it??
mine is an 06 6spd..charger is coming out of another 06 spd..he hasn't had problems other then blowning his motor..lol
in the future i do plan to build the motor more with the charger, but for now it is just bolt on...
thanks

It is a bolt on kit for daily drivers. I've sold a number of these and no one has had issues. The only issue I think was one guy who ran nitrous, water meth, high boost pulley and I think he damaged his engine. But if you stick to the stock pulley you will be fine. You can do a HBP but you will need tuning.

People are puting down 320 HP to the wheels, so thats 100 HP increase since my stock 06 six speed put down 220 HP about 40 lost to friction. I personaly think I am puting down more HP than 320 but no time for dyno right now so who knows. The stock exhaust is great for embarrising anyone, by the time they hear the whine your gone. With the ATLP set up people know something bad is about to happen, some think its just the exhaust til they see those stock tail lights.

hey man I'm curious if you went to Tech 3 in SJ to get the ATLP/J-pipe installed? I saw an 04-06 stock exhaust there and the guy told me it belongs to someone with a S/C.

Bringing this thread back from the dead eh?
Type-S is another story. With your bigger 3.5L instead of 3.2L engine, the kit is not a direct bolt-on. It will need some custom fab. I don't know exactly what must be done tho. Maybe someone else will chime in.

There is some more recent threads. If you are interested in giving it a shot, there are other Type-S owners who would love to know. There is a for sale thread from a vendor who found it in their back room and they're selling it dirt cheap.
There's a lot more than just bolting on and go. If you have deep pockets, you might consider talking to J&R about a turbo.

All motor
Honestly, for the 3.5 I'd do the M90 SC kit Paul has put together. You have to supply the SC, but the kit definitely pushes more air and has the same on-demand power. The M62 found in the CT kit is a tad small for the 3.5L. Shit, the K24 peeps use the same SC I believe.
