Supercharged and having clutch problems
Okay,
I've had the SC on for over a month now. I was in the shop today and had the UR Pulley installed and a Mobil 1 Oil change. I looked under the engine bay and saw a leak.
After the mechanic and I looked further, It is coming from my Clutch slave. It is ready to go.
This is a non Acura mechanic who did todays work. I have an appointment on Friday to have the dealership replace the clutch slave under warranty (I expect).
I am concerned the dealership is going to blame the supercharger as most dealerships like to do.
The clutch slave should not be blowing out at 30k with the SC or NA as far as I know.
Can anyone provide me with solid responses as to why this should be covered under the warranty with the SC? I feel no reason to drop $400 when it is not the Supercharger's fault...
I am still under factory warranty...

Good luck...depends on the dealer. Most of em...if its a major thing...are gonna cry wolf, and possibly rightfully so. Thats why some dealers would say they dont do these installs and such. I think to some degree....you have to put up with these things when you get to this level of modification...but there are dealers out there that will turn a blind eye to it and continue to work with you. A lot of it depends on the dealership/your relationship at that dealership and if they did the install or not.
Most likely the dealership will make you pay. They are in place for business....
Yes, they can replace it and charge the Acura corporate but they rather charge you
It's a small price to pay for having boost my friend

AND Acura if they can! Is there any type of protection against double billing? If there isn't that may be the primary reason for telling customers their mod voids the warranty service. The customer payment would be all additional profit as the parts and the contracted hourly rate charged to Acura is covered.
