Im pretty sure there have been people that have deleted the rear mufflers. IMo it does NOT sound good. These V6's just dont sound all that great when you hack off the mufflers. What does sound decent is stage 1 or 2 mods which involves either removing or replacing the center resonator with an aftermarket one. Search for stage 1 or stage 2 on youtube and there are tons of videos that come up. Without the mufflers these cars just sound stupid.

Yup I did the mid muffler delete aand I'm perfectly happy with it. Nicer sound at idle, very cool sound around 2-3.5k rpm as well. Cost 40$. Can't beat it for the price but I understand it's not enough for everyone, you might want more.

MM is a great choice for a mild sound improvement. The absolute furthest I think you should go is cat-less w/MM delete. Anything past that would sound terrible.

I replaced my OEM resonator with a magnaflow, which deadened the rasp just a notch. Perfect IMO.
