Stock Muffler Replacement

Hey guys,

I need to replace one of my mufflers and decided instead of buying stock, i rather get a magnaflow muffler for both of them. I went on there website and looked at the universal ones. My question is which would you guys suggest, something close to stock maybe a little deeper but nothing over the top with a polish finish ie: chrome look.

Thanks in advance!

Well this could've easily been answered with a quick and easy search but most run 4x9x14 or 5x8x14 but definitely nothing longer than that because fitment then becomes an issue.

I've got a full magnaflow catback for sale if you're interested, shipping would be terrible but not impossible. It's buried in the BM somewhere.

A recording of an exhaust sound will never sound the same in person. You can hear if it's very raspy or loud, but in person is the only true representation.

If you aren't removing the mid-muffler or resonator, I doubt the sound will be all that different.

Also remember that the stock mufflers are not installed straight. If you intend on using the stock tips and pipes, then you'll need something almost identical to the stocker in size.

If you don't intend on doing anything other than the muffler, I would just replace it with a factory oem.

i'm going to be purchasing the Magnaflow # 14362, anyone running it on stock piping? A local exhaust shop said this muffler will not fit the TL and will cost me $500 to install it.. I suspect he may be trying to rip me off anyone have any experience using this muffler?

I noticed from reading around that some people used Magnoflow #14325 mufflers and others used Magnoflow #14362 mufflers. Both mufflers are 4x9 oval but the #14325 is 14" body legth & 20" overall length while the #14362 is 11" body legth & 17" overall length. Which is better, what's the difference, why did some of you guys use either one, which one should I get? Keeping in mind that these will be ran on stock piping.

Thanks in advance!
