Faiz, yours is right in the center. the plastic garment had to be trimmed a little to fit them nabes. anyway, if you interested in the tananbes, let me know.

AZNBO Michael aka fellow DC5 -
lol thanks man, exhaust can produce so many diff notes and look compared to intakes which is hidden in the bay and only makes one or 2 diff notes ahah so yeh exhausts ftw

AL -
LoL come onnn mann im just trying to reach exhaust Nirvana
Better to have a set up that satisfies you rather than make you dissapointed right? haha all that is left....for me...is just to get rid of that drone...and i think i've found the perfect way.....Magnaflow 6" round 18" long XL muffler....that shit is chambered + baffles so it will ANIALATE (forgive my spelling) the drone for good....

Faiz Jazz -
lol do what makes u happy bro
for me...

1st setup magnaflow: too loud...looked stock....sounded wierd
2nd setup tanabe: wayyy too hidden and the tips didnt flow with the car imo
3rd setup 3.5" tip magna: everything is perfect....tips are just not my taste and already 2+ members have that set upahha
4th setup: just bought new tips not muffler...now its too loud so need resonator...tip looks fkn sexy tho

yupyup nirvaaanaaa

Tom -
haha i think its 2 or more coats...but teh paint is wackkkkked it seems easy to peel so u prob wont have a problem...i got the box already haha i just need to fold it now

I just finished installing the bohemeth of a resonator (mag 6x27) and for me, it's perfect.

I can still hear it in the drivers seat, pretty much on par with the CAI without the teeth rattling, headache producing drone.

Behind the car it's deeper at idle and the volume is not overpowering. I'm happy.

I put it at the end of the front heat shield and it ends just before the middle shield. It does hang lower than usual so for any slammed suspensions, it's probably drag like the front dam.

I'm done for now.

any pics? damn...this sounds very good lol

i see another nbp type s skunk2 in the house

ok on another note:
i THINK but im not sure...that the reason my exhaust got louder is because ive had them weld up my leak i had...Can this be possible????? i mean rather than having the sound leak out a bit now it is directly leading out...or is it the tips....what sounds more legit??? gawd if its the leak i swear ima make a hole in my exhaust -_- ahha jk

I don't have a lift so it's impossible to take any pics.

I saw a pic when I was looking for alternatives but I'll be damned if I can find it again.

But while I was searching, it looks like at least 3 other people have done this, dragonlord, kracker and shulminator.

If you PM them, maybe they've got pics.

Has anyone left the stock mid-muffler and replaced the resonator with either the Magnaflow or Dynomax variant? Would it reduce the drone, yet still have a deeper exhaust note?

Dont know if anyone's done that yet, but it might make a slight difference, nothin too noticeable, I think atleast

xxafg-Dude, Drone's killer but it's not soo bad. I live with it without a problem

Official Update-
I think Tim convinced me to get quads, haha I watched that same damn video over and over and I think I'm going to do it
Right now I'm just looking at some parts, I'm going to collect the parts slowly

lol Faiz, the tips wont fit the regulat outlet..its WAY too narrow...its prob like 5-6" wide while the dual tips are like 8" wide lol

unless u do a REALLY good cut on ur stock bumper so its very compact that you dont have a big gap all around the tips?

fireworks mxd maybe hehehe jk

ie. tim's setup... I think he is happy with his tips/muffler setup... but I can guarantee you from the cat to the y pipe he is going to make major changes... I still vote for him to just go cat to hushpower resonator to straight pipe

He has a magnaflow muffler acting as a resonator now though right? You think he should replace it with the hush?

I'd just add the hushpower if anything if it's way too loud.

I think his exhaust is perfect though

After about 300miles and taking an interstate hop of about 45 minutes, I am still happy with the results I got.

Definitely still a little bit of drone, but it's not overpowering. I'm not sure if I could take it if I didn't have a 6mt where I can pick where the revs are running.

It's still low and loud enough to be different but not obnoxious. I only wish we could get the deceleration growl/grumble of a 'G'....oh well.

I think the Hushpower that Al recommended is very similiar to the magnaflow XL that i got...however the hushpower are 100 bucks...well the ones i found...the XL was 45 shipped...so heh why not..

XL technology:

i hope it fits...rofl
Yeah yeah its chambered...who cares...prob robbed 1whp from me...meh

KN, glad to know that solved most of ur drone issue
how bout some sound clips

Fazz-
lol those Vq do some bad ass with exhausts...my tone definitely changed....after:
1.) getting the new bigger tips
2.) sealing up my leak...

NOW...i really dont know if that slight gurgle u heard in my quad vid was caused by the leak or not....so i dont suggest u go out there and punch holes in ur pipe...haha....i shouldve just left the leak...it wasnt major anyways....now it sounds loud...thats it...not like how it was....dammit!

I should get the XL in tomorow...so ill install it asap...ill make a clip to compare teh 3 sounds:

- Quad with 3.5 tips + leak
- Quad with 4" tips + sealed no leak
- Quad with 4" tips + sealed no leak + XL Resonator Muffler

um well he did straight pipe and it was bad ass... I have no idea where he bought that little welder but he also welded a roll cage on his gas car with it... I am really good at searching but cant find it (scratches his head)
