Hah just watched it, haha I love the way it starts out, haha love the music(song name BTW)

It actually sounds really good and I really like the rear seat angle. It's not that loud I don't think, but it is in a good way. Like, theres no ricey tone to it, it sounds aggresive, but I mean they are Tanabe's

But yeah sick video
Stay tuned for mine...I hope

great clips. after listening to the clips, it seems APexi, Tanabe, and Stillen (on G35) have deeper and aggressive sound though I am not sure what resonator is used.

oh, how about this exhaust: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBkX8GS5FoY (idle at 0:50) I assume the deep tone is partially caused by the supercharger?

Haha, well lets just say I dont think the TL can ever sound like a RS4 or G35/350Z. Haha It really all depends on the engine/compression/exhaust structure.

Stillhere was about to get some Apexi's, he was actually pretty much in love with them but he's going to get some Tanabes, for now atleast. The stillens sound really good as well, even on the G35 sedans, but Idk if they make a universal kit. You're probably going to have to shop and chop if you want to go that route.

haha looking forward to that, I'm probably gonna be asking you for advice once the topspeed's come in. I'm not going to know how to set it up and stuff haha

Yeah I've been listening to alot of that kinda music recently dude haha I really like telepopmusik

Kinda like the stage 3 mod then, after like a month or two my tone changed SO much. I used to be like "Damnit, what a lame mod" and like a month later I was like and so was everyone else

wow your stage 3 you thought lame mod... from the first second I stomped it on the highway it brought a tear to my eye (sounded just like my 350z)... anyway ballin when you get your mufflers don't go nutts making them stick to far out... they will look too flashy and draw too much attention, last thing you want is to have fart cans all out the back... angle them a little bit but keep them hidden, since I live in NYC, once I get mine, I am going to spray paint them flat black to give them that stealthy look, A'PEXi WS NOIR style... hehehe

b18: finally got to see the vid... for christ sake all I hear was intake and then slightly the exhaust.... oh and I am a little upset about my current setup, I put in a fujita intake when I am wide open I don't hear the exhaust at all, it sounds like a wolf getting fucked in the ass...it is so awesome... but I think I want to go back to stock... sike!

lol stillhere whatd u expect man haha i have a huge 4" intake with TANABEs which are known to be "93db and under" as they state

plus its an oval muffler haha so its silent

wait for ballin's set up, im sure hell will break loose! just hope that he can take the drone haha

i was also contemplating on putting my stock intake back on...i actaully tried before i went to record the clip but i forgot how to get it back in (got stuck on the fuse box) plus the engine bay was blazing hot!

but im sure it'll just sound airy like all ovals do at WOT...my RSX sounded the same at higher RPMS...no more tone just air, my GSR with catless however had more of a high end tone with rasp...ugh

I guess most aftermarket mufflers have 3"-4" tips. :-/

anyway, here is a clip with comptech cat back: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGp8LDTOjZE

is it really low in person that you can barely hear it when driving or drive by?

I think the comptech sound is pretty subtle and the HP gains were somewhere around 3hp? Not too big of a fan of the comptechs, especcially since it is $1000+

Hasn't released any details whatsoever, but it's probably going to take some time until it is produced(just my speculation). Should be sick when it drops though

apexi offers silencer that snugs right into HKS muffler. I'm thinking about getting HKS with apexi silencer

ps. Silencers are for pansies... I bought one for my civic because each summons for noise pollution cost more than $20, I just took the silencer to court and it was always dismissed

Houston we have a problem, I was looking at the injen 350z exhaust the true dual one, it has some weird bend for the exhaust, so I set off to find one similar...
this is what I found - Retail is pretty good - $165

http://www.cardomain.com/item/NETNT1601

What do you guys think yay or nay, I also ran into an accord with the skunk2 universal and the tone was pretty friggin good

hmm..looks good, I actually saw it and looked into it but the TopSpeed's appealed to me more I've definitely heard of these though, here's a video of the Netami's on a CRV:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=8rjCcWHq9Wc

BTW- the little thing sticking out on the right side, is that the "twin loop" thing? What does it do?

nah the twin loop is different that is that other model they make, I'd figure it would look better or function better on a civic, although I bet you that loop gives you some back pressure...

but the one above has a resonator chamber to lower the exhaust tone, it would be better suited if I went stage 4 with upgraded muffler... but I am curious though as they have an interesting design and I've yet to see anyone with this model installed on any car

We're going to need a little more back pressure if we're going to have the stage 3 plus straight flow mufflers. The resonator chamber's definitely a good thing, especcially if you're going to go stage 4, but I'd just be concerned with the raspiness and hope that you won't have any of that. The designe is DEFINITELY an eyecatcher haha I saw it and I was just like . Looks really short by the way

why most aftermarket exhaust tips are around 4". I understand some provide better flow, but is it necessary to have 4" tip when the inlet is only 2"-2.5" other than looks?

i think comptech is 3" ?
plus it would be funny to have a 2.5" id then a 2.5" tip....look tipless, i see a lot of people with integras/accords/civics running vibrant mufflers usually with no tips....looks wierd imo

i think if u get these you'd def have to angle them, the shop had a hard time fitting the tanabes on my car due to the amount of space, so now my tanabes look funky....like a cross eyed chick :-x

but tis ok, got my problem solved with teh 2007 TL-S rear aspec lip
if tanabes dont pls me, i might as well jus head over to aznbo1's exhaust set up

as for the exhaust with the resonator chamber, I would love to atleast find an audio clip or a previous setup, I searched and found nothing, it is as if it doesn't exist

Damn, I was SO close to getting the ASpec TypeS rear and ayethetiense showed me everything about it and how to do it, but wasnt too fond of cutting up the bumper then I think it looks better on other colors compared to NBP

Are the resonator chambers to make the tone deeper or quiet it down? Can it be adjusted or something, doesnt seem like it though

The canister is used to remove some unwanted frequencies, and helps slightly lower the tone. In a way it act's as a chambered setup, but without directly interrupting the straight-through airflow as a chambered muffler would.

That Amuse setup, as well as GruppeM is pure sex in exhaust fabrication.

Who's interested in a full titanium catback for the TL? It should only cost about a few grand!

Quick Reply: Stage 3 with upgraded muffler?
