Stage 2/3 + J-pipe

I read somewhere once (can’t remember ) someone said if you are planning toget a j-pipe dont do the stage mods? Has anyone done this? I am not planning toget PDC's but I would want my car to sound more aggressive after I installed ajpipe. Maybe stage 2 then stage 3 if 2 is not satisfying. I would probably get ajpipe that deletes the 3rd cat.

So will this setup cause rasp, or sound like crap?

Another jpipe thread... Lol

It'll be okay not much rasp depends on which one you get. Don't bother with stage mods

Soooo many ideas and thoughts when it comes to an exhaust.
Soooo much info/comment/post about it as well. Reading is your friend about this issue.

I have Stage II.
Had a rasp without J-Pipe, and then went to someone that does a better job at welding. No more rasp.

So it's like try and fail

Someone just added J-Pipe to his Stage III, has a little rasp at RPM 3500
Some say, wraping it takes it away. Or may be wait for 6 months or so...it's an exhaust just installed, car has to get used to it.

That's all I got for you

I have the RV6 V3 j-pipe (no 3rd cat), mid muffler deleted, dynomax 24235 resonator, stock mufflers, and I don't have any rasp.

As long as you have a resonator you'll be fine, the stock one is huge. You can run no mufflers and not be raspy.

If u want a little more sound for the time being do a mid muffler delete. That way u don't have to worry about rasp now or later when u get a jpipe installed.

MEKO was talking about me, I have the same setup as The Machine, and I have rasp at 3500. It's minimal but I feel it's because it's a new pipe, has no carbon build up whatsoever.

I'm happy with it though. I had Stage 3 first and was happy for quite a while but recently wanted some more sound, adding the J-pipe did that...slightly...it idles a little deeper and the normal 2500-3000 RPM range where Stage 3 shines, the J-pipe magnified that.
