I was reading an article about testing between a base TL and a base with A-spec installed.

The 0-60 times between a base and A-spec were 6.0 for base and 5.7 for a-spec.

I was curious if anyone else noticed any difference themselves. Obviously this would be mostly track related but im just curious as I just ordered an A-spec kit myself (without A-spec suspension plan on getting that later).

 

Actually the suspension is about the only Aspec part that will decrease your 0-60.

The a-spec has 18" wheels instead of the regular 17"s, right? Bigger wheels probably hurt acceleration a little bit actually.
My guess is the a-spec had high performance summer tires, and the base TL only had all-season "touring" tires.

 

^ I'd have to go with what he said and say the summer tires of the ASPEC gave it that advantage.

 

summer tires, suspension, the aero kit (improve the drag coefficient of the car lower it slightly and add a lip kit to cut through the wind a bit better)....however we're talking tenths of a second. what is that a few feet? in swimming it's practically a hand touch and in sprinting it's half a step (at most).

the aspec lip kit and your stock setup...not likely to improve much of anything...except the look of the car.

0-60in a straight line sure, .2-.3 seconds. On a road course though...different story.
